BURNLEY STILL TOP OF BOTTOM BETTING

DESPITE their excellent start to the campaign, Burnley are 11/4 co-favourites with William Hill to finish bottom of the Premiership table with Hills, who also make them 4/6 to go down. Hills also have Hull (4/6 for drop) and Portsmouth (8/11 to go down) 11/4 co-favourites and also offer 7/1 Birmingham (5/4 go down); 7/1 Wolves (15/8); 16 Stoke (9/2); 20 Blackburn (6/1); Bolton (9/2); Wigan (4/1).

TORRES is 3/1 favourite to win this season’s Golden Boot with William Hill who also offer 5/1 Drogba; Rooney; 6 Defoe; 10 Anelka; Adebayor; 16 Owen.

HART OF THE MATTER

DESPITE reportedly receiving the dreaded vote of confidence from the club’s new owner, William Hill have seen a flurry of support for Pompey boss Paul Hart to be the first manager to lose his job in the Premiership this season, and have cut his odds from 4/1 to 7/4 favourite.
Hills make Phil Brown 3/1 second favourite to go first and also offer 5/1 Rafa Benitez; 10 Alex McLeish and Gary Megson; 11 David Moyes; 14 Mark Hughes; Gianfranco Zola; 20 Martin O’Neill.

NOTTS A TON-UP CERTAINTY?

A WILLIAM HILL punter from Shrewbury has staked £750 at odds of 10/1 on Notts County to amass 100 points and 100 goals in League Two this season.’County have been flying in most of their early matches, but the defeat by Chesterfield suggests that it may not be plain sailing all the way this season’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘However, this bet is typical of the interest we have been seeing for Sven’s side to canter to the title’.
Hills make County 11/10 favourites to win League Two, with Rotherham at 8/1; Bournemouth 12/1; Chesterfield and Crewe both 14/1.

Benitez Backed To Be First Boss To Go.

RAFA BENITEZ has been the subject of a gamble concentrated in the Kent and Bristol areas to be the first Premiership manager to leave his club this season, with William Hill slashing his odds from 20/1 to 11/2 third favourite.
‘We have seen a string of punters asking for bets of up to £300 a time for Benitez to be the first boss to go’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘I’m not sure whether Rafa has friends or family in Bristol and, or, Kent, but you can’t take chances in markets like this. We have cut his odds several times but are still seeing interest even at 11/2’.
HILLS CURRENTLY OFFER 2/5 THAT BENITEZ WILL STILL BE LIVERPOOL BOSS ON THE LAST DAY OF THE SEASON, 7/4 THAT HE WILL NOT.
William Hill: First Prem boss to go: 11/4 Phil Brown; 9/2 Paul Hart; 11/2 Benitez; 6/1 McLeish; 15/2 Zola; 8 Hughes; 12 Megson; 20 Martinez.
