Carroll 8/13 To Leave Liverpool And 8/11 To Rejoin Newcastle

Andy Carroll is now 8/13 to leave Liverpool this summer and Newcastle have moved firmly to the top of the pile to be his next club. William Hill have made the Magpies odds-on to sign their former player at 8/11. Sam Allardyce has made no secret of his desire to sign Carroll and he is 7/2 to lure him to West Ham. Other teams in the running include Aston Villa and Fulham at 9/1 and AC Milan at 12/1.

“Newcastle appear ready to break their transfer record to get the man that they sold just 18 months ago and it is starting to look more and more likely that Andy Carroll is on his way,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Dimitar Berbatov has stated his assertion that he needs to be playing first team football and may have to move to get it. Malaga are the 7/4 favourites to sign him, although West Ham, are offered at 9/4 after they reportedly made an offer for the striker. Galatasaray have reportedly shown some interest in signing him, while AC Milan may look to replace Ibrahimovic with the mercurial United player. They are 5/1 and 8/1 respectively.

£25 Million To Be Bet On Euro Final

William Hill are expecting around £25 million to be staked in the UK on the Euros Final this weekend as 11/10 favourites, Spain, take on 11/5 Italy. The draw is offered at 21/10. Hills make Spain 8/15 to lift the trophy while Italy are 6/4 to do likewise.

“The England/Italy match has been our highest turnover match of the Euros so far but we are expecting the Final to far exceed that,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Our punters are used to not having England in a major final and tend to get involved in the Final regardless of a Three Lions presence.”

Mario Balotelli was the architect of Italy’s victory against Germany and he is 15/2 to score the first goal of the game and 11/1 to score two or more goals. Balotelli is the 5/4 favourite to be named as the tournament’s top scorer and 10/1 to win Player of the Tournament.

At the end of the Premier League season, Balotelli had a small falling out with his manager at Manchester City although the way in which he has played in this tournament makes Hills think those cracks may have been papered over and they offer 1/33 that he is still at the Etihad next season (10/1 to have departed).

“Andrea Pirlo has been the main man for Italy in this tournament so far and is rightfully the odds-on favourite to win the Player of the Tournament award but if Super Mario puts in a similar performance on Sunday to the one he did on Thursday, he may well grab the award for himself, as well as the Golden Boot,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Euro 2012 top goalscorer: 5/4 Mario Balotelli; 8/1 Mario Gomez; 8/1 Alan Dzagoev; 8/1 Mario Mandzukic; 8/1 Cristiano Ronaldo; 9/1 Fernando Torres; 11/1 Cesc Fabregas; 25/1 BAR

Player of the tournament: 8/11 Andrea Pirlo; 7/2 Andres Iniesta; 10/1 Mario Balotelli; 10/1 Xabi Alonso; 16/1 Iker Casillas; 16/1 Gianluigi Buffon; 16/1 Xavi; 16/1 Cristiano Ronaldo; 20/1 Cesc Fabregas; 20/1 Antoinio Cassano; 25/1 BAR

Tournament winner: 8/15 Spain; 6/4 Italy

Final:

90 minutes: 11/10 Spain; 11/4 Italy; 21/10 draw

Match to go to penalties: 4/1

First scorer: 6/1 Fernando Llorente; 6/1 Fernando Torres; 7/1 Cesc Fabregas; 7/1 Alvaro Negredo; 15/2 Mario Balotelli; 8/1 Antonio Cassano; 9/1 Pedro; 9/1 Antonio Di Natale; 10/1 BAR

To win in extra time: 10/1 Spain; 12/1 Italy

To win on penalties: 9/1 Spain; 9/1 Italy

Balotelli And Pirlo To Top The Euro Charts…spain 8/15 For Top Award Though

Mario Balotelli scored two as Italy made it through to the Final of the Euros and William Hill make him 5/4 to be the top tournament goalscorer and 10/1 to be named player of the tournament. Andrea Pirlo, who was once again on top form, however, is now the 7/4 favourite to win the top Euros player award. Balotelli’s performances will have endeared him to the Italian fans even more so than before and he is 10/1 to no longer be at Manchester City at the start of next season with AC Milan a likely target.

“Tonight was all about Mario as it quite often is, but it was all for the right reasons and he could now fire Italy to glory and himself to top goalscorer,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Spain are 8/15 to lift the trophy, while Italy are 11/8.

There will have been one German fan who will be feeling the pain a little more than most as a fellow from that country entered a William Hill shop in central London and staked £41,000 on his home nation to lift the trophy.

Balotelli to still be at Manchester City on the first day of next season: 10/1 no; 1/33 yes

Top goalscorer: 5/4 Mario Balotelli; 8/1 Mario Gomez; 8/1 Alaz Dzagoev; 8/1 Mario Mandzukic; 8/1 Cristiano Ronaldo; 9/1 Fernando Torres; 11/1 Cesc Fabregas; 25/1 BAR

Player of the tournament: 7/4 Andrea Pirlo; 11/4 Andres Iniesta; 6/1 Mesut Ozil; 8/1 Xavi; 10/1 Mario Balotelli; 10/1 Xabi Alonso; 14/1 Mario Gomez; 16/1 BAR

All eyes will be on Cristiano Ronaldo as he tries to propel his team into the final of the Euros. William Hill make him 4/1 second favourite to win the Man of the Match award and 6/1 to score the first goal of the game.

“Ronaldo has dragged his teammates through a group they were not expected to qualify from and now, playing against players he faces on a weekly basis, he could take them to the final,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “That is if the Portuguese players can get the ball off their Spanish counterparts.”

Hills are expecting between £3 and £4 million to be staked on each of the semi finals, although had England qualified, at least £6m would have been staked on the Germany match alone.
