Liverpool – Waiving Or Downing? You Bet Tevez Brazil Bound

William Hill have cut the odds of Carlos Tevez’s next permanent club being based in South America from 9/2 to 6/4 following reports that Corinthians have made an offer for the want away striker. Real Madrid are 5/2, Inter Milan 5/1 and any English club 6/1. The odds of Stewart Downing’s next permanent club being Liverpool have also been slashed, from 4/7 to 2/9 while Arsenal have been pushed out from 13/8 to 3/1.

“Liverpool appear to now be fully in the driving seat to get their man, while Corinthians have attempted to steal a march on any other potential Tevez suitors by making the first bid,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Wenger’s Fab Tip

Arsene Wenger has come out and said that he is optimistic his two courted players, Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas will be staying at the Emirates next season. William Hill agree with Mr. Wenger with regards to Nasri, offering 8/11 that he is still at the club come the first game of next season, although Fabregas is 4/9 to have left for pastures new by then. Barcelona are the 1/4 favourites to capture Fab’s signature when he does leave, while Manchester City are 8/11 favourites to bag Samir Nasri.

“Wenger has, rather defiantly, come out and claimed that his two most prized assets are staying put and while we agree that Nasri looks likely to be staying for at least another season, the lure of Barcelona may be too much for Fabregas and Arsenal to resist for another season,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Scott Parker has been backed from 20/1 to 6/1 to join Chelsea with Hills who make Villa 13/8 favourites to be his next club.”Parker returning to Chelsea would be a big story, but we are not convinced it is anything like a done deal.”

WHERE WILL TEVEZ GO NEXT?

WITH CARLOS TEVEZ said to be leaving Manchester City, William Hill have opened a book on where he will go next, and make a South American club 9/4 favourite to be his next port of call. ‘It is difficult to see Tevez earning the same kind of money in South America and it is odd how many times homesickness can apparently be cured by regular doses of cash, so we don’t think he is odds-on to return to his homeland.’ Said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Manchester City Next For Martin O’ Neill ? Bet On It

MANCHESTER CITY NEXT FOR O’NEILL? YOU BET!

WILLIAM HILL have opened a book on which club Martin O’Neill will next join as manager – and make Manchester City their 10/3 favourite, with Manchester United and England 6/1 joint second favourites. ‘Martin will probably sit and wait for a suitable job to come along – and he could be in exactly the right place at the right time for the City job if they don’t fare too well early on in the season – and for United if Sir Alex decides he has finally had enough of management’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
And Hills have also opened a book on how many more Premier League bosses will part company with their clubs this season – and make 5-6 their 6/4 favourite.
