Champs League Specials…becks To Paris…cahill Chelsea Bound

Chelsea and Arsenal’s leaky defences will be put to the test when they face Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund respectively. Chelsea are 7/5 slight favourites to concede more goals than Arsenal, whose porous defence is 13/8 to ship more than the Blues. Hills make Valencia, who take on Genk, 11/4 favourites to be the highest scoring team during Wednesday’s Champions League matches,

David Beckham is now almost out of contract at Los Angeles and William Hill make PSG his most likely destination at 10/11. Beckham has not ruled out staying at Los Angeles and Hills offer 4/1 that he stays at the Galaxy. Despite seemingly ruling out a move back to the Premier League, Tottenham are the 7/1 third favourites to bag Becks while Arsenal are 8/1.

“Becks looks like he could take in another of the world’s great cities and the Posh brood will certainly fit in amongst the chic boutiques of Paris,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Andre Villas Boas has reportedly set his sights on Gary Cahill to bolster the increasingly wobbly looking Chelsea back line although despite this, William Hill are offering 5/6 that Cahill is still at Bolton come the closing of the January transfer window. He is 7/2 to be playing for Chelsea and 6/1 Arsenal.

“Chelsea definitely need strengthening in defence although whether Bolton will let go of their prize asset in the midst of a relegation battle is another matter,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

WILLIAM HILL believe it is an odds-on chance that goal line technology will be used in the Premier League before the end of next year. ’It appears that the inevitable introduction of goal-line technology is moving ever closer’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill: Year of the first Premier League match to use goal line technology:

For the first time, Andre Villas Boas is odds on to be out of his job as Chelsea boss by the first game of next season with WILLIAM HILL, who make AVB 9/2 fourth favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his club this season. Hills also offer: 7/1 Owen Coyle; 8/1 Alex McLeish; 12/1 Mick McCarthy; 14/1 Harry Redknapp.
‘We are beginning to see money for ‘no managers’ to lose their jobs this season, but are happy to leave the price at 10/1 as we cannot envisage that happening’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Topsy Turvey Torres Tipped To Start Tomorrow

Fernando Torres was axed by Vincente Del Bosque for Spain’s victory midweek and Andre Villas-Boas has claimed he will not hesitate to drop the striker should his poor club form continue. Bookies, William Hill are offering odds on which will be the first game that he finds himself on the bench (or worse). He is 9/2 to miss Saturday’s match against Sunderland and 11/2 to miss the match against Leverkusen midweek. Torres is 14/1 to fail to start any of the next three games.

“Torres is certainly under pressure to start scoring, but the odds certainly indicate that he will be given a few more starts in order to find his form,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills are also betting on how many Premiership goals Torres will get this season and make the favourite between six and 10 at 2/1. The days when Torres used to score 20 plus goals a season seem a long way away at the moment, but he is 8/1 to bag over 20 this season. He is 11/10 to get his first Premier League goal of the season against Sunderland and 7/2 that it comes against Manchester United.

WITH pressures facing all five of the leading Premier League bosses, William Hill have opened a book on which of them will be the first to depart his club and have installed Arsene Wenger as the 5/4 favourite, with Kenny Dalglish the 8/1 outsider. ‘For different reasons each of the bosses could find themselves leaving sooner than expected, and likewise it would be no great surprise if they were all still around in three years or more, but we feel Arsene is currently under the greatest pressure’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Who Will Win The Battle Of The Prem’s New Wonderkids?

Who Will Win The Battle Of The Prem’s New Wonderkids?

With two teenage starlets set to sign for Arsenal and Chelsea, William Hill are offering a match bet between who will score more goals between Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Romelu Lukaku. The 17 year old Southampton player is 7/2 to score more goals than his Belgian counterpart who is 11/8 to score more goals. Chamberlain is, however, slight favourite of the two to start more games than Lukaku, who is 5/2 to do so.

“Wenger is known for his love of blooding youngsters at Arsenal and with the attacking options available to Andre Villas-Boas, Lukaku may find starts hard to come by,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “But the Belgian striker has shown he has a great goalscoring ability and that is not to be sniffed at.”

With Sir Alex Ferguson claiming that 84 points will win the Premier League this season, William Hill are offering 5/1 that the winner obtains that exact number of points. 13/8 that less points are won to secure the title and 4/6 that the winner of the Premier League has to score more than that.

Last season, 1063 goals were scored in the Premier League and Hills offer 100/1 that the same total is matched exactly. 10/11 is available for fewer to be scored and 4/5 for more.

How many points will win the EPL: 13/8 Under 84; 5/1 84; 4/6 Over 84

How many goals will be scored in this season’s EPL: 10/11 under 1063; 100/1 exactly 1063; 4/5 over 1063

Chamberlain vs Lukaku:

Most Starts: 2/1 Chamberlain; 5/2 Lukaku; 1/1 Tie

Most Goals: 7/2 Chamberlain; 11/8 Lukaku; 11/10 Tie

Fer-nando’s No Chicken When It Comes To Scoring…want Away Players Specials

Andre Villas Boas confirmed that he is unconcerned about the pre-season form of Fernando Torres and William Hill think that his assurances are founded, offering 2/1 that he manages between 16 and 20 goals this season. He is 7/4 to score 21 to 25 goals. Hills also think that Torres has the full support of his manager and he is 9/4 to start 26-30 Premier League games this season.

“It would be fair to say that Torres endured a rocky patch at the start of his Chelsea career, but the odds suggest that Villas Boas will have faith in him and in return, the goals will flow,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Torres Premier League Starts: 10/3 Under 10; 7/1 11-15; 6/1 16-20; 5/2 21-25; 9/4 26-30; 9/2 Over 30

Torres Premier League Goals: 12/1 Under 6;8/1 6-10; 4/1 11-15; 2/1 16-20; 7/4 21-25; 5/1 Over 25

Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now…Want Away Players On The Move?

William Hill are offering a market on whether the all four of the Premier League’s high profile want away players leave their clubs by the end of the Summer transfer window. Hills go 9/2 about all four of Tevez, Nasri, Fabregas and Modric having left their clubs by the 31st August 2011 .

Hills are also offering 6/4 that Cesc Fabregas is the first of the four to go, while Carlos Tevez is 13/8 to do so. It would appear that Arsenal have more hope of keeping Nasri than Fabregas and he is offered at 10/3 to be the first of the four to go, while Modric is 6/1.

“These four players have all shown their desire to move to pastures new and itcertainly looks like a possibility that all four will be gone by the time the transfer window slams shut at the end of August,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Who will go first: 6/4 Fabregas; 13/8 Tevez; 10/3 Nasri; 6/1 Modric

All four to have changed clubs by the end of the transfer window (August 31st 2011): 9/2 yes; 1/8 no
