Arsenal Will Gir-roud The Day They Sold Rvp

Robin van Persie looks set to sign for Manchester United and William Hill make him 8/11 to score more Premier League goals than Wayne Rooney and he is 5/6 to score 22 or more goals. Van Persie won last season’s PFA player of the year award and he is 7/2 to pick up the award again this season. The loss of van Persie could have an adverse effect on Arsenal and they are odds on, at 8/15 to finish lower than the third place they finished last season while Manchester United are 5/6 to score more than the 89 goals that they scored last term.

Van Persie is 8/1 to score four or more Premier League goals against his former club this season while he is 11/10 to outscore both Giroud and Podolski put together.

“It looks as though van Persie will hit the ground running for Manchester United and he could possibly reach a similar goals tally to what he approached last season while at the other end of the spectrum, without his goals, Arsenal’s grip on third spot may slip,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

There are a couple of names who could be elbowed out of Old Trafford following RVP’s arrival and Javier Hernandez is 7/2 to move to Arsenal from Manchester United and 9/2 to move to Spurs. Real Madrid have often been linked with the striker and he is 10/1 to move to the Bernabeu from Old Trafford. Dimitar Berbatov could also be on his way and Hills make QPR the 4/1 favourites to secure his signature upon him leaving Old Trafford.

Pardew Loses His Rag And Loses Punters Their Red Card Dough

Alan Pardew became the first Premier League manager sent to the stands and not one William Hill punter backed the Newcastle boss to see red which was offered at 16/1. The most popular selection was 6/1 favourite, Mark Hughes, who, despite his sides poor performance and the warm summer weather managed to remain relatively cool.

Mark Hughes is now the 10/1 favourite to be the next manager to be sent to the stands with David Moyes and Paul Lambert 11/1. Pardew has been cut slightly after his indiscretion to 14/1.

“Alan Pardew’s momentary loss of control will have everyone talking although the odds would suggest that he may well have learnt his lesson,” said Hill’ spokesman Joe Crilly.

Jermain Defoe scored for Spurs, but it was not enough to save his Spurs side from defeat and William Hill offer 11/8 that Emmanuel Adebayor arrives at Spurs before the end of the transfer window.

Allen Key For Liverpool This Season But Prem Is A Long Way Off

Joe Allen has finally completed his move to Liverpool and William Hill think that he will slot straight into the Red’s starting XI offering 1/6 that he starts next week’s opening Premier League fixture against West Brom. He is 1/5 to start more games than last season’s flop signings Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson. Allen will also be expected to chip in with a few goals and he is 2/1 to score four or five this season and 5/2 to grab six or more.

Allen’s arrival comes in the same week as a Liverpool fan walked into a shop in central Liverpool and placed £22,000 e/w on his side winning the league at 25/1. Should Liverpool win the League he will scoop £777,333.33 and should they finish second, he will pick up £205,333.33.

Liverpool are now 16/1 to win the league, but are a long way behind Manchester sides City and United, who are offered at 11/8 and 11/4 respectively. After Liverpool, Manchester City have been by far the best backed side and for the first time since the Premier League came into existence, punters are pretty much staying away from Manchester United.

“Joe Allen and Fabio Borini are two good players and certainly ones to watch for the future, but whether they will provide the quality that Liverpool quite obviously need to win the league or even come close looks a far stretch,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Starts for Liverpool match bet: 1/5 Joe Allen; 4/1 Jordan Henderson; 10/1 Charlie Adam

Joe Allen Premier League goals: 10/3 0-1; 9/4 2-3; 2/1 4-5; 5/2 6 or more

To start vs West Brom: 1/6 yes; 7/2 no

Premier League winner: 11/8 Manchester City; 11/4 Manchester United; 5/1 Chelsea; 12/1 Arsenal; 16/1 Liverpool; 25/1 Tottenham; 150/1 BAR

With rumours persisting about whether or not England striker Andy Carroll has a future at Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers, William Hill have quoted the big striker to scorer fewer than nine goals in the Premier League this term. West Ham are rumoured to have agreed a loan deal but Newcastle could also be in the running. He is 7/4 to score between nine and 13 goals and 7/4 for more than 13.

You Bet New Scholes Set For Starting Role At Old Trafford

Manchester United have competed the signing of highly rated Japanese international, Shinji Kagawa and William Hill think that he will go straight into the first team, offering 9/4 that he makes between 16 and 20 with the same price for him to start 11-15 games. He is 11/2 to make 26 or more starts. Lastseason Kagawa scored 16 goals in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund and Hills think that his goalscoring form could continue, offering 5/2 that he scores between eight and 11 Premier League goals and 11/4 that he bags between 12 and 15.

“Kagawa is an incredibly bright prospect for Manchester United and very much a long term replacement for Scholes in that he can boss the midfield and chip in with the occasional goal as well,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

How many starts will Shinji Kagawa Make In 2012/13 Season: 3/1 under 10; 9/4 11-15; 9/4 16-20; 3/1 21-25; 11/2 26 or over
