Opening Day Thumpings Could See Early Managerial Changes

Mark Hughes, Chris Hughton and Brendan Rodgers all suffered heavy opening day defeats and William Hill offer 9/1 that two or three of them have gone before Christmas, 7/4 one of them has and 8/15 that none of them have . Another side struggling to adjust to the new season was Arsenal as they started life without Robin van Persie and William Hill make the Gunners 8/11 to score before their former striker does (Evens they do not).

“There were certainly a few sides who looked as though they were still on their holidays and their managers will have to turn things around quickly otherwise they could find themselves out of a job before the year is out,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

How many of Hughes, Hughton and Rodgers gone by Christmas: 8/15 none; 7/4 one; 9/1 two or three

Who will score first: 8/11 Arsenal; Evens Robin van Persie

Mc Leish Evens To Be Gone By Next Season

McLEISH EVEN MONEY TO LEAVE VILLA BEFORE NEXT SEASON

William Hill offer Even money that Alex McLeish will cease to be Villa boss before the start of next season but make him a shade of odds-on at 8/11 still to be there. ‘Villa fans are clearly running out of patience with their side this season and McLeish is bearing the brunt of their complaints, regardless of how much leeway he has had to bring in quality players’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills have also cut his odds from 12/1 to 8/1 fourth favourite to be the NEXT Premier League manager to go.

**McLeish at Villa 1st day next season?Yes – 8/11No – EVS

NEXT PREM BOSS TO GO – 8/13 Kean; 11/8 Coyle; 7/1 AVB; 8/1 McLeish; 9/1 McCarthy; 12/1 Martinez;16 Jol. Others on request.

William Hill offer 33/1 that BOTH Steve Kean and Owen Coyle leave their clubs BEFORE MIDNIGHT on December 20 – the day Blackburn play Bolton.’There is every chance that neither Kean nor Coyle will be having a very Merry Christmas this year’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Bookies Not Kean On Rover Steve

BOOKIES NOT KEAN ON NEW BLACKBURN BOSS STEVE!

WITH Steve Kean being appointed as Blackburn manager, William Hill are already offering odds of 5/6 that he will be OUT of the job by the first day of next season.’
Since Sam Allardyce left Blackburn they have been one of the best backed teams to be relegated and are now down to 7/1 for the drop’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
And Hills make Kean 28/1 to be the NEXT Premier League manager to leave his job.
Hills have paid out to customers who backed Kean to get the job – but say that anyone who backed any other contender to become the next Blackburn manager will have their bet carried over until Kean is succeeded by the next permanent boss at the club. ‘As it is Christmas, we are paying out on Kean, but letting all other bets on the market stand until the manager after Kean is permanently appointed’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.’We think punters may not have long to wait to find out who that will be.’

STEVE KEAN to be Blackburn manager on first day of next season – 5/6 NO; 5/6 YES
STEVE KEAN TO be next Prem manager of this season to leave his job – 28/1
BLACKBURN to be relegated – 7/1 yes; 1/16 no.
