Rangers 7/2 To Be Perfect At Home

This weekend Rangers play their first home game in the fourth tier and William Hill go 7/2 that they win every home game this term and 6/4 that they stay unbeaten home and away in the league. Rangers are 15/8 to win against East Stirling with a -3 handicap.

“Rangers will want to put on a good show after a sorry summer for the club. They should take confidence from last weekend’s late equaliser to really show the fans they are up for this fight,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young

Celtic travel to Ross County this weekend and are 4/9 for the victory. The last three games between the two clubs have produced 2-0 score lines on every occasion, one for Celtic and one for County. For either team to win 2-0 is 9/2. With both teams scoring in six of their last seven meetings, Hearts and Inverness are Even money to both score on Saturday.

Kilmarnock and Motherwell is not a fixture that produces many goals as only three of the last eight meetings have produced more than one goal. It is 21/10 that there is one or less goals this weekend. Aberdeen always seem to do well against St Johnstone, where they are travelling on Saturday, unbeaten in their last four visits. Aberdeen are 6/4 draw no bet.

The Dundee derby should produce some fireworks but Dundee are yet to score in the SPL this term. Dundee United are 13/10 to win to nil. Kenny McLean is on fire for St Mirren and for him to score anytime and the Saints to win is 17/2.

New Spl Season…latest Odds

The start of the new Scottish Premier League is upon us and William Hill cannot split the Old Firm clubs offering 5/6 for both sides to win this year’s SPL title. Hearts appear to be in pole position for the ‘best of the rest’ honours offered at 5/4 in the SPL without Old Firm sides followed by Dundee Utd at 10/30. At the other end of the table, newly promoted Dunfermline are the 5/2 favourites to finish bottom of the league with St Mirren 3/1.

Rangers striker Nickica Jelavic is the 3/1 joint favourite to win the SPL golden boot with Gary Hooper, with Celtic’s Anthony Stokes and Dundee Utd’s David Goodwillie 8/1.

There is a three way tie at the top of the SPL sack race, with Hearts’ Jim Jeffries, St Johnstone’s Derek McInnes and Kilmarnock’s Kenny Shiels all seemingly in the firing line as 4/1 joint favourites.

“The football season kicks off early this season, easing the anguish of a tournament free summer and we have a number of bets to keep every SPL punter involved until the final day,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Manchester Powerhouses Leave Europa Competition Trailing In Their Wake

Manchester City are the 13/2 favourites to lift this year’s Europa League, as the money men target European glory. Liverpool are the 9/1 second favourites ahead of Juventus (12/1) and last year’s winners Atletico Madrid (14/1). Of the British sides, Manchester City are 15/8 favourites to progress the furthest with Liverpool 5/2 and Aston Villa priced at 11/4. With seven British sides in action in this year’s competition, Hills are offering 9/1 that the final is contested between two British teams and 33/1 that four British teams make the semi finals.

William Hill are offering 13/8 that less than 8 goals are scored by British teams in tomorrow’s Europa League matches, while 8 or 9 goals to be scored is priced at 7/4, with more than 9 goals at 6/4.

“Man City have been spending money like it is going out of fashion this summer, and the owners will want to some silverware in return. The odds suggest that the Europa League will be high on their list of priorities,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
