Fast Food Worker Serves Up A £75.5k Winner At William Hill

A mystery 53 year old William Hill shop punter, from Caernarfon, is on cloud nine after a £2 football accumulator paid out to the tune of £75,582.85. The punter, who works for a fast food restaurant and names Fenerbahce as his favourite team says that his biggest win before has been £301 on the 49s, the twice daily numbers draw made in shops.

The punter’s accumulator included both Sunday matches in the Premier League – backing Swansea at 3/1 and Newcastle at 8/11, as well as another 12 matches from around Europe and paid out at odds of just over 37790/1. When asked if he had any plans for the money, he said he was going to treat his wife and three children.

“This punter must have an incredible knowledge of European football as he has not just picked 14 favourites in his selections, he has gone for a few outsiders as well,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Punter’s Selections (winning selections in bold):

11/10 Huesca vs Deportivo La Coruna

WHAT A GLOVELY BET!

WITH BOSS Ian Holloway revealing his dislike of the trend for players to wear gloves, William Hill have opened a book on how many of his players will turn out for kick off of their game with Manchester United this weekend sporting the hand-wear. ‘Ian is unashamedly old-scholl and he is no fan of players wearing gloves – but we reckon a few of his players may defy their boss and wear them for the United game’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

When Will Chelsea Win Again?

WHEN WILL CHELSEA WIN AGAIN?

WITH CHELSEA going through what constitutes a slump for them, with no victory in their last three matches, William Hill, who now make them 15/8 to end the season without winning one of the ‘big four trophies’, have opened a book on when they will win again, and make them 2/9 to do so this weekend when they meet Everton at Stamford Bridge.

‘Should they to win what looks to be a ‘gimme’ then the critics will really begin to be heard’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

UNITED DO UNITED FAN A FAVOUR!

A MANCHESTER- BASED WILLIAM HILL internet client whose £850 accumulator bet depended on his favourite team, Manchester United, beating Wolfsburg on Tuesday night, collected £104,880.67 after Michael Owen’s hat trick landed their victory at odds of 11/4, to add to three other Champions League winners – Bordeaux at 9/4; Real Madrid 5/4 and Porto 7/2. ‘This is the biggest payout we’ve made to a single client on the Champions League so far this season – and hopefully will remain so!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
