England 15/2 To Be Drawn Against France In World Cup Qualifying

With the World Cup 2014 qualifying draw due to take place on Saturday, William Hill are offering 15/2 that England get drawn against former winners, France. 5/2 is offered for the hosts of the tournament, Brazil, go on to win it. Current world champions, Spain are the 5/1 second favourites ahead of Argentina at 6/1 and Germany at 11/1. England are 16/1 behind the four and Holland at 12/1. John Arne Riise joined Fulham early on Wednesday and joined his brother, Bjorn Helge. The first manager to go market has been particularly volatile during this close season with gambles seeing Neil Warnock and Sir Alex Ferguson’s odds slashed from 16/1 and 40/1 respectively to 11/4 and 12/1.

“We have so far seen two heavy gambles on both Warnock and Sir Alex to be the first to leave their jobs and now the dust has settled, the QPR boss is the favourite to go and appears to be under pressure even though no ball has been kicked in anger this season,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

The managerial merry-go-round was in overdrive earlier today when Neil Warnock was backed in from 9/2 to 9/4 to be the first Premier League manager to leave at William Hill. The QPR boss was the subject of internet speculation which saw his odds tumble as punters piled in with countless three figure bets although the gamble subsided as a statement was released from the club stating Warnock was going nowhere.
