Rdm To Be Given A Chelsea Chance But Gaurdiola Could Be In To Pep Things Up

It has been widely suggested that Roberto Di Matteo will be given the Chelsea job after his incredible work in the second half of the season. William Hill offer 11/10 that the Italian is no longer boss on the first day of the 2013/14 season.

“Di Matteo came in last season and performed admirably and it would be somewhat of an injustice if he was not given a fair crack of the whip,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Abramovich’s axe, however, is never far from the necks of his managers and if RDM slips up in the shadow of Guardiola, wholesale changes could be afoot.”

As Pep Guardiola stepped down at Barcelona, Roman Abramovich’s eyes must have lit up, but with the Spaniard claiming that he wanted a year away from the game, the Chelsea tycoon could not bag his man. William Hill are, however, offering 6/1 that by the time the 2013/14 season rolls round, the former Barca boss is sat at the helm at Stamford Bridge.

Roberto Di Matteo to be manager at the start of the 2013/14 season: 4/6 yes; 11/10 no

6/1 Pep Guardiola to be Chesea manager at the start of the 2013/14 season

*both bets only count should Roberto Di Matteo be named as next permanent Chelsea manager

You Bet Gunners Get Sympathy Vote

‘Calamity Keeper’ 2/5 to miss out on 2nd Leg as:
YOU BET PUNTERS GIVE ARSENAL SYMPATHY VOTE
PUNTERS who believe Arsenal got a raw deal from the ref over Porto’s second goal have rushed to back the Gunners to go through, causing William Hill to cut them from 8/11 to 8/13 to progress, and lengthening Porto from Evens to 6/5. ‘Gunners’ fans are feeling victimised, but seem to believe that their team’s sense of injustice over the second goal will help them overcome the setback in the second leg.’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
HILLS MAKE ARSENAL 10/11 TO GO THROUGH IN 90 MINUTES IN THE SECOND LEG, 20/1 TO MAKE IT THROUGH IN EXTRA TIME, AND 20/1 TO DO SO IN A PENALTY SHOOT OUT.
ARSENAL were lengthened from 15/2 to 10/1 to win the Champions League by William Hill after they lost to Porto, who were cut from 50/1 to 40/1.
‘Calamity Keeper’, Fabianski, is 7/4 to start the 2nd leg, 2/5 not to; while Sol Campbell is 6/4 to start, 1/2 not to.
