King Kenny’s Crown Slipping While Di Matteo Impresses At Chelsea

WILLIAM HILL have slashed their odds about Kenny Dalglish ceasing to be Liverpool manager by the start of next season from 5/2 to Even money after their latest Premier League setback – and Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is 5/6 NOT to score another Premier League goal this season, and 5/2 to have left the club before next season. His chances of going to the European Championships seem to have fizzled out and he is 7/2 to head on the plane to Poland (1/6 not to). He is far more likely to go to the Olympics – offered at 4/7 (5/4 not to).

Jack Wilshere may play for Arsenal before the end of the season, but his return may come too late for an England call up this summer, offering 4/6 he stays at home (11/10 he goes). Fernando Torres ended his massive Premier League goal drought and he has run into quite a bit of form in recent weeks. Hills are offering 4/6 that he travels as part of the Spain squad to the European Championships this summer (11/10 he does not).

Roberto Di Matteo is now 2/1 joint favourite to permanently get the Chelsea manager’s job having been as long as 8/1 at one point. Jose Mourinho is also 2/1 with Pep Guardiola 9/2.

Manchester Misery In Champions League…tevez Tantrum Means 11/4 To Not Start All Season

Both sides of Manchester failed to win in the Champions League and William Hill are offering 9/1 that both fail to qualify for the knock out rounds of the competition. City have now failed to win in two matches and are 7/4 to now finish third in Group A with top spot a drifting 9/2. Carlos Tevez refused to come off the bench and play for City in Munich and Hills offer 11/4 that he does not start another Premier League game for City this season.

“A disappointing evening was rounded off by Tevez refusing to come off the bench and the odds suggest that Mancini may well have finally lost patience with City’s former captain,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Despite the setback at Old Trafford, Manchester United are the 13/8 favourites to progress the furthest of all the British sides in this year’s Champions League. An all Manchester Final is 40/1.

British Team to progress the furthest: 13/8 Manchester United; 7/4 Chelsea; 7/2 Manchester City; 5/1 Arsenal

Tevez to start a Premier League game for Manchester City this season: 1/4 yes; 11/4 no

Manchester City Group A Finishing Position: 9/2 Winner; 7/4 second; 7/4 third; 3/1 fourth

Manchester United and Manchester City both to fail to qualify from Group stages: 9/1

All Manchester Champions League Final: 40/1

Gerrard Odds On To Start First Liverpool Game

WILL GERRARD BE FIT FOR SEASON?

WITH STEVEN GERRARD a non-runner on Liverpool’s pre-season tour of Asia, William Hill have opened a book on whether the Reds’ skipper will start their first Premier League game of the season – and offer 2/5 that he WILL, 7/4 that he will NOT. ‘Gerrard is still a key player for Liverpool and it would be a real setback for them if he was not fit enough to start their campaign’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Liverpool play Sunderland at Anfield in their opening game and are 7/20 to win it with Hills who make the visitors 6/1 and the draw 16/5.

SETBACK FOR VILLA

ASTON VILLA have been lengthened from 7/2 to 6/1 by William Hill to finish 4th in the Premier League. Hills make Man City 7/4 favourites, with Liverpool and Spurs both offered at 9/4 and Everton 40/1. ‘A home draw against Wolves is not Champions League form and Villa seem to be struggling to maintain the pace in this marathon race for fourth’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

YOU BET PUNTERS GIVE ARSENAL SYMPATHY VOTE
PUNTERS who believe Arsenal got a raw deal from the ref over Porto’s second goal have rushed to back the Gunners to go through, causing William Hill to cut them from 8/11 to 8/13 to progress, and lengthening Porto from Evens to 6/5. ‘Gunners’ fans are feeling victimised, but seem to believe that their team’s sense of injustice over the second goal will help them overcome the setback in the second leg.’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

‘Calamity Keeper’, Fabianski, is 7/4 to start the 2nd leg, 2/5 not to; while Sol Campbell is 6/4 to start, 1/2 not to.
