Following the wranglings that took place during the final hours of the transfer window, William Hill have opened a book on which of the last minute signings will end the season with the most goals. Hills make Asamoah Gyan the 11/10 favourite ahead of 3/1 Franco Di Santo and 10/3 Eidur Gudjohnsen. Rodrigo Moreno and Aleksander Hleb are relative outsiders at 6/1 and 8/1 respectively.

Hills have also opened a match bet between Darren Bent and Gyan. Hills are offering 2/5 that Bent scores more than Gyan from now until the end of the season, while Gyan is priced at 7/4.

“At £13 million, Gyan has a lot to live up to, but compared to his rivals, we think that he could well deliver the goods, however, it seems unlikely that he will outscore Darren Bent, who has proven himself to be one of the most prolific scorers in the league in recent years,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
