Villas Boas 3/1 To Be Out Of A Job Come Second Leg

Chelsea showed some signs of improvement despite losing to Napoli but despite this, William Hill now make Andre Villas Boas 3/1 to have left the Blues by the time the second leg starts. He is 2/5 to have left Chelsea by the start of next season (7/4 to still be there). Vitally, Chelsea bagged an away goal and Hills are offering 5/1 that they qualify by the away goals rule, while Napoli are 20/1 to do so. Chelsea are 7/4 to qualify while Napoli are 2/5.

“Villas Boas is walking a knife edge, but while his team showed improvement, he may not be in position to resurrect Chelsea’s Euro hopes in two weeks time,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Fernando Torres did not feature at all in Naples and he is 13/8 to have left Chelsea by the start of next season (4/9 to still be there).

William Hill Odds:

AVB to be in his current position on the first day of the 2012/13 Premiership season? Yes = 7/4 No = 2/5

AVB to no longer be in his current position by kick off of second leg v Napoli = 3/1

Chelsea to qualify 7/4, Napoli to qualify 2/5

You Bet City Could Be Blue And Pool Could Be Red Faced

Manchester City and Liverpool have left themselves with a lot to do in the second leg of their last 16 ties in the Europa League and William Hill are offering 5/1 that both sides progress into the quarter finals.

“5/1 reflects the hole that both Manchester City and Liverpool find themselves in after indifferent first leg performances,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “We would be very surprised if at least one of the sides did not progress.”

Braga performed well in their home leg, but having lost 6-0 to Arsenal, Liverpool are 16/1 to emulate that feat and score six or more goals. New signing, Andy Carroll is yet to get off the mark, but Hills are offering 8/13 that he scores anytime during their match against Braga, while he is 2/1 to score with his head.

Manchester City are 2/1 to qualify against Dynamo Kiev and 4/9 to win in 90 minutes. With the Manchester City owners seemingly demanding silverware this season, Hills are offering 20/1 that they win the Europa League and the FA Cup. Should they fail, the chances of Mancini staying in charge seem slim and he is 13/8 to have left his position by the first game of next season.

City Favourites For Europa After Easy Victory…tractor Boys Ease Pressure On Keane

Manchester City had an easy victory tonight and in the process secured their route into the knock-out stages of the Europa Cup. William Hill make them 9/2 favourites to win the competition. They are also 8/11 to get further in the competition than the only other English side left, Liverpool. The Reds are 2/1 to outdo City.

We now have our four semi finalists for the Carling Cup and who would have thought that Ipswich would reach that round? The Tractor Boys have eased some of the immediate pressure on their manager, Roy Keane by getting that far and his odds to still be there at the start of next season have shortened from 7/2 to 3/1. Ipswich are 12/1 outsiders to win the competition made all the tougher by the fact that they have Arsenal in the next round. The Gunners are 4/7 to win the final at Wembley.

William Hill Odds:

Carling Cup Outright: 4/7 Arsenal; 7/2 Birmingham; 4/1 West Ham; 12/1 Ipswich

Europa League: All English Final 16/1 But City Favourites For Dublin

Misfiring Liverpool striker Fernando Torres is 9/4 to outscore Carlos Tevez in Thursday’s ties and Even money to score during Liverpool’s game against Utrecht. Torres, who is seemingly unhappy at Liverpool, is now odds on at 4/6 to not be at Liverpool at the start of the 2011/12 season.

William Hill are offering 16/1 that the Europa League Final is contested between the two English sides left in the competition. Manchester City are 4/7 to progress further than Liverpool however.

Hills are offering 5/6 that under 4 goals are scored in total by Liverpool and City on Thursday and the same price for four or more goals. For five or more goals to be scored in the two matches is offered at 8/11.

Liverpool are 11/10 to win away from home against Utrecht who are 5/2 to secure a home victory. Manchester City are 8/11 to beat Juventus, while the Turin giants are 7/2 to leave Eastlands with a victory.
