HUGHES TO RETURN?

WITH Mark Hughes being linked with a return to the PremIer League, William Hill offer 7/1 that he will become permanent boss of another top flight club before the end of this season. ‘Mark’s name is invariably prominent in lists of potential successors whenever a Premier League manager leaves his club’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WITH Jack Rodwell being tipped for a move away from Everton in the January transfer window, William Hill offer Even money that e will quit the club and 8/11 that he will remain where he is. ‘Everton’s season has been disappointing so far and the departure of Jack Rodwell would suggest that they have given up hopes of a European place next season’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Canaries Not Expected To Fly High Next Season

Norwich secured promotion to the Premier League by defeating Portsmouth on Monday – although the Canaries are already odds on to go straight back down according to William Hill. They are 8/11 to be relegated and 9/2 to finish bottom next season, while they are 7/1 to finish in the top half of the table. Paul Lambert, the manager who has performed miracles at Carrow Road, is 8/11 to still be Norwich manager on the last day of next season.

“The odds currently suggest that Norwich will have a real struggle on their hands to try and stay in the top flight for more than one season,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Newcastle 13/8 To Come Straight Back Down

Hughton odds on to stay boss all next season:
NEWCASTLE 5000/1 TO WIN PREMIERSHIP

NEWCASTLE are quoted at 5000/1 by William Hill to win the Premiership title next season, following their promotion. However, Hills make them 4/9 to stay up, and 13/8 to go straight back down.
Chris Hughton is 8/11 with Hills still to be Newcastle boss on the LAST day of next season, Evens to have departed by then. ‘Hughton has done admirably to steer the club back into the top flight – but now they are back there he should beware of higher profile names sniffing around and putting themselves forward to take over’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills also offer them at 5/1 to finish in the top half of the table – 1/9 in the bottom half, and quote them at 50/1 for the FA Cup, 33/1 for the League Cup.
‘Newcastle’s return to the Premier League will certainly bring extra colour and drama to the division, but few will predict that they will be serious candidates for honours next season’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
