Goal Line Technology Imminent – You Can Bet On That

GOAL LINE TECHNOLOGY ODDS-ON BEFORE 2013

William Hill believe it is an odds-on chance that goal line technology will be used in the Premier League before the end of next year. ’It appears that the inevitable introduction of goal-line technology is moving ever closer’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill: Year of the first Premier League match to use goal line technology:

by the end of 2012 4/6
2013 9/4
2014 or later 7/2

FIRST PREM BOSS TO LEAVE WILL GO IN DECEMBER – BET ON IT

William Hill have opened a book on when the first Premier League boss will leave his job this season – and Hills go 2/5 that it will happen in December. ‘Several managers are under severe pressure at the moment and we fully expect that one or more wil go before the New Year’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
For the first time, Andre Villas Boas is odds on to be out of his job as Chelsea boss by the first game of next season with William Hill, who make AVB 9/2 fourth favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his club this season. Hills currently make Steve Kean 6/4 favourite with Steve Bruce 9/4 second favourite, Roberto Martinez 5/2 third favourite.
Hills also offer: 7/1 Owen Coyle; 8/1 Alex McLeish; 12/1 Mick McCarthy; 14/1 Harry Redknapp.
‘We are beginning to see money for ‘no managers’ to lose their jobs this season, but are happy to leave the price at 10/1 as we cannot envisage that happening’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

In which month will the 1st Premier League manager leave:

November 8/1
December 2/5
January 4/1
February or March 7/1
April until final day of season 20/1

YOU BET TORRES COULD BE ON WAY OUT, TOO…….

WITH FERANDO TORRES left on the bench for Chelsea’s Champions League defeat by Leverkusen, William Hill are betting on where the troubled striker will be playing on the first day of next season:

Where Will Torres Be 1st Day of 12/13 season?
Chelsea 4/7
Man City 7/1
Malaga 10/1
Real Madrid 10/1
Atl Madrid 12/1
Man Utd 14/1
Barcelona 16/1
Tottenham 16/1

Others on request. Loan deals do not count.

UNITED 20/1 TO WIN EUROPA LEAGUE

William Hill make Manchester United 20/1 to win the Europa League this season, with Man City 7/1, and Chelsea 16/1. ‘Some big clubs could find themselves unexpectedly in the Europa League this season and if so it will be interesting to see what sort of appetite they might have to win it’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Europa League Outright:

Man Utd 20/1
Chelsea 16/1
Man City 7/1

**If the stated teams do not take part in the Europa league 11/12, bets are losers.

Webb Winner And Goal Line Technology

GOAL LINE TECHNOLOGY NOW ODDS-ON FOR WORLD CUP, SAY BOOKIES

William Hill believe it is now an odds-on shot that goal-line technology will be in place when the next World Cup Finals get underway in 2014. ‘Having offered 5/1 about it happening after the Lampard fiasco we are now going 1/2 that it will be a done deal when the next Finals kick off’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill…..Will goal line technology be in use for the first match of the 2014 World Cup Finals?

Yes 1/2
No 6/4

WEBB’S WORLD IS A WINNER

HOWARD WEBB, who was backed down from 6/4 to 4/11 to take charge of the World Cup Final, is more likely to award a penalty than to send a player off in normal time at the Final, say bookmakers William Hill who offer 3/1 about the former, and 7/2 the latter. ‘Webb was well backed to get the Final,so he is the only Englishman to cost us any sort of World Cup payout’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill WEBB SPECIALS
Howard Webb to award a penalty during normal time 3/1
Howard Webb to send a player off during normal time 7/2
Howard Webb to send a player off at any time (including extra time) 11/4
Howard Webb to order a penalty to be retaken during normal time 25/1 (20/1 incl extra time)

All the below include extra time.
Uruguayan Ref – Howard Webb to miss an incident (and not award a goal) where the ball is clearly shown to cross the goal line 50/1
Russian Ref – Howard Webb to award a goal where the ball is clearly shown not to cross the goal line 50/1
Thierry Henry – Howard Webb to give a goal when a clear handball is shown to have occurred in the build up 8/1
Graham Poll – Howard Webb to issue any single player with three yellow cards 100/1
