Daniel To Sturr Up Gb

As Team GB prepare for their quarter final on Saturday against South Korea William Hill think that recent performances should give cause to be hopeful for British football fans. Hill’s are 5/4 that GB win in 90 minutes and odds on at 8/15 to qualify.

Daniel Sturridge scored the only goal of the game as GB beat Uruguay in Cardiff on Wednesday and he looks likely to the lead the line again against South Korea. He is 9/2 to score first, with Craig Bellamy a 6/1 chance. Sunderland youngster Ji Dong Won is an 8/1 chance to score first against Pearce’s GB. Arsenal’s Ju Young Park is a 7/1 chance.

“South Korea have made it to the Quarter finals only scoring in one game but they can be dangerous. GB are growing in confidence and they beat a team of genuine quality against Uruguay. A semi final place should now be expected,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.

Fantastic Finale To Football Season Sparks £15million Betting Bonanza

William Hill are predicting a massive betting bonanza in what will be an epic finale to the football season. Saturday sees the Champions League Final, Championship Playoff Final and the William Hill Scottish Cup Final and football fans will be looking forward to having their last punts of what has been a fantastic season at home and abroad.

Chelsea take on Bayern Munich on the German side’s home turf and are underdogs to lift Europe’s biggest trophy. Given the home advantage, Hills are expecting a comfortable victory for Bayern and make them 4/5 to win in 90 minutes and 2/5 to lift the trophy. Chelsea are 7/2 to win in 90 minutes and 15/8 to lift the trophy.

“Chelsea had a bit of luck, a bit of quality and a lot of guts in their victory Barca last time out and we think they will need more of the same in order to get anything out of this game,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills are predicting that around £10million will be wagered industry wide on the game which would make it one of the largest turnover matches in history.

Arjen Robben is going to coming up against his former club and William Hill make him the 5/1 favourite to be named Man of the Match in the Champions League Final, ahead of his teammates, Mario Gomez at 6/1 and Frank Ribery at 7/1. Those three players are clearly Bayern’s danger men and Hills are offering 12/1 that all three of them score on Saturday evening.

“Chelsea successfully subdued the triple threat of Messi, Xavi and Iniesta in their last Champions League match although Bayern Munich offer a completely different and some would say more potent threat,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Chelsea had to rely on a bit of luck to grab the draw they needed in the Nou Camp and Leo Messi missed a penalty as Chelsea inched into the final. Hills are offering 20/1 that Bayern Munich are awarded a penalty in 90 minutes and miss it.

Didier Drogba was on fine form against Barcelona and he will need to be at his best to help Chelsea lift the trophy. He is 8/1 to open the scoring in the match and the same price to win man of the match. Despite the massive influence that he has had in his time at Chelsea, he s just 8/11 to have left the club by the start of next season (Even money to still be there).

“Drogba has been a fantastic servant to Chelsea and there would be no better way for him to sign off than put in a performance that helped Chelsea lift the trophy,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

PLAYOFF FINAL

Blackpool are taking on West Ham in the Championship playoff final and Hills make the Hammers the 19/20 favourites to win the match in 90 minutes and 8/13 to win promotion. Blackpool are quite big priced outsiders and are 14/5 to win the match in 90 minutes, although are only 5/4 to win promotion.

“There will be a lot of people who will be saying that the Champions League Final will be the showpiece event on Saturday, but given the way that both sides play, the match in Munich may have competition,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

With both sides favouring attack to defence, there is the chance that there could be a few goals and Hills are offering 4/1 that four or more goals are scored and West Ham win in normal time.

Some might say that Big Sam Needs a win in order to keep hold of his job and Hills go 13/8 that he is no longer West Ham boss on the first day of next season (4/9 he is still there).

WILLIAM HILL SCOTTISH CUP

The William Hill Scottish Cup reaches its climax on Saturday and the tournament sponsors make Hearts the favourites to lift the trophy in a match that is expected to attract up to £2 million turnover industry wide. The Jambos are 4/7 to win the tournament outright and 6/5 to so in 90 minutes. Hibs are 11/8 to win the trophy and 2/1 to do so in 90 minutes, with the draw also 2/1. Of the £2 million expected to be wagered, Hills predict that 3/4 of that will be from north of the border as Scottish football fans embrace the last match of the season.

“These three games are fully expected to draw in at least £15 million industry wide between them as football fans ready themselves for one last hurrah this season,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly

’URRY UP ‘ARRY – ENGLAND EXPECTS……!
Following Spurs’ outstanding win in Milan, masterminded by Harry Redknapp, William Hill cut his odds from 3/1 to 5/2 to become the next permanent England manager – and have had to cut their odds further, from 5/2 to 2/1 favourite as football fans backed him to succeed Capello.

‘Most football fans have a soft spot for ‘Arry, as he is frequently known, and it appears that most punters – even Spurs’ fans – are convinced he is the man to restore England’s fortunes once Capello as finally been prised away from the job’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

50m Final Set To Seal £1bn World Cup Gamble

£50 MILLION FINAL SET TO SEAL £1 BILLION RECORD WORLD CUP GAMBLE

DESPITE England’s absence from the latter stages of the tournament British football fans are set to help swell the betting turnover on the World Cup towards a record £1 billion, while £50million is expected to be staked on Sunday’s Final between Holland and hot favourites Spain.
‘After England crashed out, patriotic football fans had to transfer their affections elsewhere – and they seem to have done so by placing bets on their adopted second favourite country. With England gone, they no longer had automatic loyalty to one country and therefore have used a bet to enhance their enjoyment of matches. And the enormous coverage given to Paul the Psychic Octopus has also kept the tournament in punters’ sights, so we expect a record industry betting turnover for both the Final and the tournament with £1bn and £50m respectively staked’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
SPAIN are 4/7 favourites with William Hill to be crowned as World Champions – thus justifying Paul the Psychic Octopus’ predicition – with Holland the 6/4 outsiders.

**A William Hill Manchester betting shop client stands to collect £424,000 if David Villa, now 8/11 favourite to do so, ends up as tournament top scorer after placing a £30,000 double on Holland to win their Group at 4/7, with Villa at 8/1.

**A William Hill telephone betting client could collect £275,000 for a £50,000 bet on Spain to win the World Cup at 9/2.

**Another Hill’s shop punter in Essex placed a £250 treble on Rafa Nadal and Serena Williams to win their respective Wimbledon singles tournaments, running on to Holland – and will collect £30,000 if the Dutch oblige.

**PUNTERS who have backed every Paul the Psychic Octopus tip so far are £84 better off by staking £10 to win on each one – and over £1000 if they reinvested winnings from each selection on to the next one!

Two Punters £10,000 Better Off After Spurs Hit Nine

Football fans land £10,000 windfall:
PUNTERS ON CLOUD NINE THANKS TO SPURS

TWO FOOTBALL FANS will collect over ten thousand pounds between them from William Hill after placing a bet with them at the start of the Premier League season that any one club in the division would score NINE or more goals in one match during the season.
When Spurs hit nine against Wigan on Sunday, Dan Turner,27, collected £6700 from Hills for his £100 bet at odds of 66/1, while Jamie Smalley, 28, is £3350 better off after staking £50 at 66/1.
Neither of the flatmates from South East London supports Spurs – banker, Dan, who is a Chelsea fan, and entrepreneur Jamie who runs the ‘Cheeky Butler’ company (www.cheekybutlers.com) follows Liverpool.
‘The lads approached us pre-season with the idea for their bet, which they had come up with when Middlesbro hit eight past Manchester City a couple of seasons back, and we were happy to offer them 66/1, which they accepted – I can’t see us being as generous next season if they want the bet again, and we’re definitely taking Wigan boss Roberto Martinez off our Christmas card list!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
**WILLIAM HILL now offer 40/1 that any Premiership side will hit 10 or more goals in a Premier League game this season – and offer 11/1 that any single Prem match will have an aggregate of 11 or more goals this season.
**JERMAIN DEFOE is now 11/4 favourite for this season’s Golden Boot with William Hill who also make him 13/8 to start England’s first World Cup match and 4/9 not to. Hills offer 66/1 that any player will score 6 or more in a Prem game this season.
Drogba is 10/3 second favourite to win the Golden Boot with Hills who also offer 7/2 Torres; 11/2 Bent; 8/1 Rooney; 16 Van Persie; 20 Anelka; Adebayor.
