LEEDS PUNTERS LUMP ON EX BLADE FOR TOP JOB

Neil Warnock has been the subject of a large gamble in Leeds to get the citys top football job. Vacant since Simon Grayson departed, Warnock had been as big as 9/2 when Lee Clark left Huddersfield and became favourite for the job, but having been well supported today, in and around Leeds, both online and in shops. Bets of up to £500 were being placed all day on Friday on Warnock getting the job.

The Ex QPR and Sheffield Utd boss is now 1/3 firm favourite to take the Elland Road hotseat ahead of Lee Clark at 11/2, Billy Davies and Mick McCarthy at 8/1 and Steve Bruce at 9/1.

Whether this is punters in the know or punters hoping that Warnock will get the job, we are not sure, but it would appear that Warnock is the name on everybodys lips in Leeds at the moment, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.
