TORRES 6/1 NOT TO SCORE IN FIRST FIVE PREM GAMES
WILLIAM HILL are offering 6/1 that Torres will fail to score in Chelsea’s first five Prem games (must start v Stoke or bets void) of the season – but go 11/10 that he gets off the mark against Stoke on Sunday. ‘Punters made something of a financial killing by backing Torres to fail to score when he first arrived at Chelsea, and many of them will doubtless be looking to play up their profit from the strategy again this season’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

PUNTERS TIP LIVERPOOL FOR THE TITLE BLACKBURN , NEWCASTLE AND VILLA FOR DROP
WILLIAM HILL have analysed bets struck on the Premier League title and relegation races so far, and discovered that Liverpool have accounted for almost 40% of bets struck so far on the title, and Blackburn Rovers have attracted the greatest percentage of relegation bets taken thus far 20.43%.
The two lists derived from bets struck online, although they are closely mirrored by our shop bets- show an intriguing and striking convergence from the betting odds Liverpool are only 10/1 fifth favourites for the title in our outright odds, while Blackburn are 3/1 sixth favourites for the drop Villa, third best backed to go down, are actually joint seventh favourites to win the title, while Norwich, 7th best backed for the title are second favourites to be relegated! said Hills spokesman Graham Sharpe.
It will be fascinating to look back with hindsight, and see whether the bookies or the punters have got it right.

BEGINNING OF END FOR ARSENE?
ARSENE WENGER has been cut from 33/1 to 10/1 joint fourth favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his club as he appeared to be facing the loss of both Fabregas and Nasri from his squad. Hills make him 1/6 to see out of the season, 7/2 not to. Should the Gunners get off to a slow start pressure will mount inexorably on Arsene Wenger, in which circumstances it is not impossible to envisage an end to his reign at Arsenal. Said Hills spokesman Graham Sharpe.
WILLIAM Hill- Next Prem boss to go .13/8 Kean; 2/1 Warnock; 4/1 Pardew; 10 Bruce; Wenger; 12 McCarthy; 14 Redknapp; 16 Coyle, Mancini, Martinez, Moyes. Others on request.

Late winner is six figure nightmare for bookies:
NOW UNITED ODDS-ON TO OUTDO CITY IN PREM
WILLIAM HILL have cut Man U from 8/15 to 1/2 to finish above Man City in the Premier League this season. City are 1/3 with Hills to end the season with one of the major trophies while United are 4/5 to do likewise – City are 500/1 to win all four major trophies, United 250/1.
But Hills – who were offering United at up to 18/1 in-play to come back from two behind to win – were left cursing the late winner gifted to United – ‘With seconds to go we were congratulating ourselves on a six figure winning draw – instead, seconds later we were looking at a six figure loser. So, as far as we are concerned it was a case of very bad Kompany costing us dear’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.’We took a total of £960 for United at 18/1, including one of £100, then one online punter from Scotland was confident enough to stake £1000 on the comeback at 16/1, and another had £500.’
UNITED KEEPER De Gea was criticised for his part in City’s second goal, and Hills have opened a book on how many Premier League goals he will start this season, offering:
Hills… How many Premier League matches will De Gea start for Man Utd 2011/12?

Read moreOwen Coyle has said that he has had no dialogue with Liverpool regarding the future of Gary Cahill and despite the Reds interest in the defender, William Hill make Arsenal the 1/2 favourites to win the race to sign him. Chelsea are 7/2 second favourites to be Cahills next club with Liverpool 6/1. Kenny Dalglish has been a very busy boy since taking over from Roy Hodgson in January and Hills 6/4 that he brings in between 3-5 more players and 11/8 he signs six or more.
Liverpools first game is at home to Sunderland and Hills go 6/10 that they keep a clean sheet, 8/5 they concede one, 9/2 two, 28/1 three and 80/1 four or more.
Liverpools defence has been shaky to say the least this pre-season and Dalglish realises that his back lines deficiencies need remedying before the start of the season, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly. Saying this, however, Arsenal are the favourites to sign Cahill.
In a potential U-Turn, Joey Barton has said he could well stay at Newcastle for the next year and Hills make him 11/2 to do so, although he is 11/2 to have departed St James Park by the time the summer transfer window slams shut. Everton and Stoke currently head the betting to sign Barton at 11/4, while Arsenal are offered at 4/1 with Spurs 9/2.
Cesc Fabregas took part in Arsenals open training session but William Hill make him 1/4 to have left the Emirates by the end of the transfer window.
How many more paid signings will Kenny Dalglish make this season: 2/1 0-2; 6/4 3-5; 11/8 6+
Gary Cahill next club: 1/2 Arsenal; 7/2 Chelsea; 6/1 Liverpool; 12/1 Tottenham; 20/1 Manchester City
Joey Barton Next Club: 11/4 Everton; 11/4 Stoke; 4/1 Arsenal; 9/2 Tottenham; 5/1 Celtic; 6/1 Aston Villa; 7/1 Man Utd; 10/1 West Ham; 12/1 Blackburn; 14/1 Bolton; 20/1 Wolves; 20/1 Fulham; 20/1 QPR; 20/1 Sunderland; 25/1 Liverpool; 25/1 Wigan; 40/1 Chelsea
Joey Barton Still at Newcastle after summer transfer window: 11/2 yes; 1/10 no
Cesc Fabregas to still be at Arsenal after the close of the summer transfer window: 1/4 no; 11/4 yes

With a host of top quality strikers set to be plying their trade in the Premier League next season, William Hill think that the 2011/12 could be yet another record breaking season, offering 4/5 that last seasons total of 1063 goals is broken this year. With a number of the top six sides recruiting heavily over the summer break, Hills are offering 5/6 that the top six score more than the 334 that they mustered last season.
Manchester United lead the scoring charts last season and 9/4 is offered for them to do so once again, while Chelsea are the 11/4 second favourites. Hills also offer 7/4 that over 30 goals are scored on the opening weekend of the season.

Despite suffering a somewhat rocky start to his Chelsea career, Hills are backing Fernando Torres to do the business this season and make him the 13/8 favourite to be Chelseas top marksman this season. Didier Drogba is offered at 11/4 and Frank Lampard is 9/2.

Even with an obvious gap in their midfield, Manchester United are the favourites to win back to back Premiership titles and should they land Sneijder they could get even shorter, said Hills spokesman Rupert Adams.
