Kid Kai 1000/1 To Pla For England

KID KAI 1000/1 TO PLAY FOR ENGLAND

WILLIAM HILL say they have received a number of queries about 7 year old Northampton youngster Kai Fiefield, who reportedly recently had a trial with Barcelona’s young players, eventually growing up to play for England. ‘We regularly take bets for youngsters to play football and other sports at senior level for their country – but we will only do so from the parents of the child involved when they are this age. I would be more than happy to take a £100 bet at odds of 1000/1 from Kai’s parents about him eventually winning a senior football cap for England’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Barca: Want You Fab For Good!

William Hill have slashed the price of Cesc Fabregas leaving Arsenal for Barcelona from 1/2 to 2/7 while he is now 5/2 (from 6/4) to remain at the Emirates for the first game of next season. Hills now reckon that the deal is all but done and have opened a market on how much he will leave for and offer 6/5 that Fab costs Barca between £30,000,001 and £35 million. He is 2/1 to go for over £35 million.

“As one of the longest running transfer sagas in recent history nears conclusion, it now appears that the only remaining question is how much he will cost when he inevitably departs,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Betting Women’s World Cup Will Be A Winner

WILLIAM HILL BETTING WOMEN’S WORLD CUP WILL BE A WINNER
Over £5m to be gambled on tournament for first time:
WILLIAM HILL BETTING WOMEN’S WORLD CUP WILL BE A WINNER
The Women’s Sport and Fitness Foundation (WSFF) are set to be handed up to £73,000 from William Hill to celebrate the greatest ever achievement in British women’s sport, should England win the FIFA 2011 World Cup, which gets underway this weekend, and is set to become the biggest betting event in women’s team sport.
The WSFF has teamed up with Britain’s biggest bookmaker to highlight England’s chances at the World Cup in Germany; a tournament which experts claim could prove crucial in boosting the profile of women’s sport in England, and lead to more women playing the game.
Sue Tibballs, Chief Executive of the Women’s Sport and Fitness Foundation, said: “If England win the World Cup it will be a real game changer for women’s sport in this country, so we’ve teamed up with William Hill to celebrate what we think would be the greatest ever moment in women’s sport.
“It couldn’t come at a better time, with women’s sport only accounting for 5% of sports newspaper coverage and the number of women playing sport falling all the time. We know that seeing our sportswomen do well, inspires women to participate, so we wish Hope Powell’s team the best of luck for the tournament – we’re backing them all the way.”
William Hill Media Relations Director Graham Sharpe said: “Women’s football is definitely on the up now – the FA Women’s Super league has had a great start and now we’re off to Germany to deliver the goods as a national team. Our customers are really getting behind England, who have been the best backed country in the tournament. We’re proud to support the Women’s Sport and Fitness Foundation’s vital work helping to get women into all forms of sport and fitness.”
Hills are confident that women’s football has the potential to be one of the fastest growing areas of sports betting – ‘The World Cup will definitely be the biggest betting event ever in terms of women’s football, with over £5m being gambled on the outcome industry wide for the first time’ added Sharpe ‘Only women’s tennis rivals turnover like that, but no other team sport can’

William Hill has placed £5000 worth of bets on behalf of WSFF as follows;
£2000 on England to win the tournament (at 16/1 that would produce a £32,000 profit);
£1000 on Kelly Smith to be tournament top scorer (at 20/1 that would produce a £20,000 profit);
£1000 on Kelly Smith to be player of the tournament (at 20/1 that would produce a £20,000 profit);
£1000 that England will not have any player sent off during the tournament (at Even money that would produce a £1000 profit).
If all of these bets are successful the profit will be £73,000.

William Hill has also pledged that they will donate the stake money from any of the bets which may prove unsuccessful to the WSFF, who will therefore benefit by a minimum of £5000.
To mark the start of the World Cup, WSFF has chosen their all-time top 5 achievements in women’s sport, and would like to hear from sports fans as to what would make their list. Email info@wsff.org.uk or send a tweet @wsff_uk
If England’s women are successful, the money will be invested into inspiring more women to play sport, including activity to help increase participation.

Fergie To Quit ? You Bet Someone Thinks So

FERGIE TO QUIT? YOU BET SOMEONE THINKS SO…..

IN PERHAPS ONE of the most unexpected gambles of pre-season, William Hill have had to shorten their odds for Sir Alex Ferguson to be the next Premier League manager to leave his position, from 40/1 to 12/1.
‘We took a few bets for Fergie to be the next boss out at 40/1 , the biggest of which was just £15 from a client in Stockport, and decided to trim the odds to 25/1 but were surprised then to take several bigger bets of up to £25 from Manchester addresses. We went 16/1 and took still more, this time up to £50 bets from the Cheshire area, so he is now 12/1 seventh favourite’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘We could just be seeing a speculative punt producing a bandwagon effect, but even Fergie will have to go eventually’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WILLIAM HILL…NEXT PREM BOSS TO GO….3/1 S Kean; 8/1 M McCarthy; 10/1 S Bruce; O Coyle; R Martinez; D Moyes; 12 R Mancini; Sir A Ferguson. 100/1 No manager to leave before end of season.Others on request.

Ardley Surprising As Girl Power Tips Neal For Cardiff Job

Ardley a surprise, really!
GIRL-POWER BOOSTS ARDLEY CLAIMS TO CARDIFF JOB….

WILLIAM HILL have taken a string of bets from female punters in different parts of north London – all backing the club’s Youth Academy coach Neal Ardley to be appointed their next manager. Hills slashed Ardley’s odds from 40/1 to 8/1 this evening as cash came in for him, ‘This was an interesting gamble from two different angles – firstly, virtually all of the initial bets for him were placed by female customers, and, secondly, the bets were placed either in North London betting shops, or by online clients with North London addresses – an area which would seem at first glance to have little connection to Cardiff – but experience has taught us that people will often try to throw us off the scent of a gamble by placing the bets in unexpected places at unexpected times and in unexpected amounts!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.’The bets were for an average of around £40, ranging from £10 to three figures’

WILLIAM HILL…NEXT CARDIFF MANAGER…1/3 Malky Mackay; 9/2 Chris Hughton; 7/1 Mark Robins; 8/1 Neal Ardley; 9/1 Roberto di Matteo.Others on request.

Champions League: Punters Go Barking Mad For Barcelona: Bookies Facing Worst Football Result In Betting History

Bookmakers William Hill have been blown away with the interest in the Champions League final with Barcelona proving the most popular team in the competitions history. William Hill now predict that they alone will take £5 million wagers on the match, which suggests a £25 million industry turnover, beating the 2010 World Cup final. The latest prediction is that a 90 minute victory for the Spanish side will cost Hills £2 million pounds but the doomsday scenario is a 3-1 Barcelona victory inside of 90 minutes with Messi scoring first.

“Should Barcelona win this evening, it is likely to be our second worst ever result behind the infamous Magnificent seven, when bookies lost over £50 million after Frankie Dettori won all seven races at Ascot. We never thought we would ever be cheering on a Man Utd victory but we are massive fans of the reds tonight!” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams
