Punters Keane To Back Roy For Forest

PUNTERS KEANE TO BACK ROY FOR FOREST

William Hill have suspended their market for who will be the next Nottingham Forest manager after taking a bet of £5000 on Roy Keane at odds of 2/1, shortening him to Even money but continuing to be asked for hefty wagers at that price.

“There have been a number of well backed contenders to succeed Steve McClaren such as Karl Robinson, Billy Davies and Alan Shearer but after seeing a string of bets of up to £5000 for Roy Keane with little support for anybody else, we have decided to suspend the market in case an appointment is imminent”, said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Hills Closing Odds for Nottingham Forest Manager:
Evens Roy Keane
11/4 John Pemberton
4/1 Karl Robinson
9/1 Billy Davies
10/1 Phil Brown
11/1 Dave Jones
14/1 Darren Ferguson
14/1 Martin O’Neill
14/1 Nigel Clough
16/1 Alan Shearer
16/1 Paul Hart

Is Charlie Villa’ S Darling ?

YOU BET CHARLIE’S VILLA’S DARLING

A RUSH of bets for Charles N’Zogbia’s next club to be Aston Villa caused William Hill to slash their odds about that eventuality from 5/4 to 1/4. ‘Villa need a few replacement players for their high profile departures and thIs sudden betting move involving a number of three figure wagers suggests something is afoot between these two parties’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills make Sunderland 7/2 to be his next club and also offer 8/1 Newcastle; 14/1 Liverpool; 25/1 Arsenal.

Champions League: Punters Go Barking Mad For Barcelona: Bookies Facing Worst Football Result In Betting History

Bookmakers William Hill have been blown away with the interest in the Champions League final with Barcelona proving the most popular team in the competitions history. William Hill now predict that they alone will take £5 million wagers on the match, which suggests a £25 million industry turnover, beating the 2010 World Cup final. The latest prediction is that a 90 minute victory for the Spanish side will cost Hills £2 million pounds but the doomsday scenario is a 3-1 Barcelona victory inside of 90 minutes with Messi scoring first.

“Should Barcelona win this evening, it is likely to be our second worst ever result behind the infamous Magnificent seven, when bookies lost over £50 million after Frankie Dettori won all seven races at Ascot. We never thought we would ever be cheering on a Man Utd victory but we are massive fans of the reds tonight!” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams

Latest Odds: 1/1 Barcelona, 7/2 Manchester United, 21/10 Draw

2011-12 Champions League: 10/11 British Team To Contest Final, 5/4 A British Winner, 9/1 All British Final

William Hill Champions League 2011-12 Season: 5/2 Barcelona, 5/1 Real Madrid, 6/1 Man Utd, 7/1 Chelsea, 9/1 Man City, 14/1 Arsenal, 16/1 AC Milan, 16/1 Inter Milan, 16/1 Bayern Munich, 25/1 Valencia

Bookies Brace For Barca Bashing, United In Support For The Reds

Despite being at Wembley, Manchester United find themselves the biggest outsider for the Champions League Final for over a decade, with no other finalist in the past 10 years priced at more than 2/1. United are offered at 3/1 with Hills, but not even that price can tempt punters, with over 80% of bets placed on a Barcelona victory at 21/20. Hills are also offering over 100 in play markets and think that it could be the first time in history that in-play bets exceed pre-match wagers.

“Over the years Manchester United have caused us a fair amount of pain, but they will save us millions if they manage to beat Barcelona on Saturday night,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills are expecting a £10 million industry wide turnover making this the biggest game since the World Cup Final last year.

Lionel Messi is the 5/1 favourite to score the first goal of the match, while David Villa is 7/1. Wayne Rooney is 8/1 with Pedro and Hernandez both 9/1.

William Hill have a number of specials available for this weekend’s match and offer 25/1 that Patrice Evra will score and Manchester United lift the trophy (Happy Evra After) and 22/1 that Gerard Pique scores from outside the area (Pique That One Out).

Special Comeback At Chelsea ?

A SPECIAL CHELSEA COMEBACK? YOU BET………..

WILLIAM HILL have cut their odds for Jose Mourinho to return to Stamford Bridge as the next permanent Chelsea boss from 8/1 to 4/1 after taking a number of three figure bets on the Special One succeeding Carlo Ancelotti. ‘We saw three figure bets in those hot spots of football, Barnsley and Kent, but with a number of other, smaller wagers also being staked there is clearly speculation that Jose is not long for Real and that Carlo could be history at Chelsea by next season. Bitter experience has taught us to react quickly to unexpected beting moves in ‘Next Boss’ markets!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WILLIAM HILL NEXT PERMANENT CHELSEA MANAGER MARKET……2/1 Hiddink; 4/1 Mourinho; 8/1 Deschamps; Rijkaard; 10 Guardiola; 12 O’Neill; 14 Klinsmann; 16 Benitez; Moyes; 20 Capello. Others on request.

Three Robertos Conjure Miracles To Keep Bookies Smiling

Bookies were celebrating as their fine start to the season continued with shocks and upsets all over the country. Arsenal losing at home to West Brom was the biggest shock of the weekend with almost 95% of punters on the game placing their wagers on an Arsenal victory. West Brom have also been eased to 9/4 from 11/8 for relegation following today’s result.

Despite losing for the first time this season, Chelsea are still the 10/11 favourites to win the Premier League this season with William Hill. Manchester City are 4/11 to finish in the top four with Arsenal priced at 1/6, Manchester United 1/25 and Chelsea 1/100.

“The three Robertos performed minor miracles today and we will be making sure that they are all put on our Christmas card list this year,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Merseyside Misery
Liverpool’s disastrous start to the season continued, failing to win again, and Roy Hodgson’s odds of being the next manager out of a job have shortened from 10/1 to 8/1. Everton are now rooted to the bottom of the Premier League and David Moyes is just 15/2 to be the next manager to leave their club. At the start of the season, Hodgson was 28/1 and Moyes was 33/1 to be the first manager to go.

“At the start of the season, Moyes and Hodgson had two of the best reputations in the business. It could well be that they jump before they have their names dirtied by any more poor results,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Football Odds:

Premier League Outright: 10/11 Chelsea; 2/1 Man Utd; 8/1 Arsenal; 91 Man City; 66/1 Liverpool; 80/1 Tottenham; 150/1 Bar

To Finish In The Top Four: 1/100 Chelsea; 1/25 Man Utd; 1/6 Arsenal; 4/11 Man City; 11/4 Liverpool; 10/3 Tottenham; 11/1 Everton; 12/1 Aston Villa; 28/1 Bar

Relegation: 4/11 Blackpool; 4/5 Wigan; 6/4 West Ham; 9/4 West Brom; 5/2 Wolves; 9/2 Stoke; 5/1 Newcastle; 6/1 Bolton; 8/1 Sunderland; 9/1 Birmingham; 9/1 Fulham; 10/1 Bar

Octopunters Squids In !

Octopus Paul’s Punters Squids In !

OCTOPUNTERS SUCKER BOOKIES FOR HALF A MILLION

BOOKMAKERS William Hill estimate that punters gambling on Paul the Psychic Octopus’s World Cup selections have won up to half a million pounds from the betting industry with their wagers.
‘Paul’s incredible Octop-eight winning selections have won any punter who bet £10 on each one of them almost £200 each, while punters far-sighted enough to keep re-investing their winnings on the next selection all the way through will have won at odds in excess of 300/1 – and there are thousands who are squids-in thanks to the psychic cepholopod’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
‘Picking all of Germany’s victories, their two defeats, and Spain’s World Cup final triumph was one of the finest tipping feats ever’ added Sharpe, ‘We can but hope Paul has gone to a rest home for retired octopii by the time the next World Cup gets underway. Fortunately for us, though, there were plenty of punters who ignored Paul’s tips, and they have contributed an excellent profit for us on a record betting turnover for a sporting event of £1 billion’
