BOOKMAKERS William Hill are paying out to punters who gambled on Wayne Bridge refusing to shake hands with John Terry after the odds about that happening were slashed from odds against to odds-on following a surge of bets.
‘We cut our odds once from 13/8 to 11/10 and then again to 5/6 as punters poured cash on the Bridge snub’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘It will cost us a five figure sum – so we’re shaken- but not stirred enough to rule out similar bets in the future as they create a huge talking point.’
