Fa Cup Latest From Official Betting Partner Of The Cup

William Hill, the official betting partner and an official supporter if the FA Cup, have priced up some of the match ups and unsurprisingly make both Liverpool and Chelsea 1/16 shots to qualify from their ties. Hills offer 1/8 that the final is contested between two Premier League sides, 100/1 that no Premier League sides make it and 9/2 that one does.

With Stevenage and Crawley both making it into the draw for the fifth round, Hills are offering 5/6 that Stevenage concede more goals in their match against Tottenham than Crawley do in their match against Stoke.

“Crawley and Stevenage are going to be up against it, but the only thing predictable about the outcome of the FA Cup is that it is so unpredictable and we could see a couple of the proverbial banana skins,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

“I am really looking forward to the Liverpool/Brighton match as both sides play a similar brand of football and after the way that Brighton played against Newcastle, Liverpool could be in for a tricky tie,” said Gaizka Mendieta, speaking exclusively to William Hill.

Mendieta also selected a treble for William Hill picking Liverpool, Chelsea and Crawley Town all to qualify and Hills offer 17/10 that his predictions come true.

Note to editors: Hills are also providing a copy of ball number nine (Stevenage) being drawn by Gaizka Mendieta

Match Odds:
1/5 Liverpool; 8/1 Brighton; 9/2 Draw
1/5 Chelsea; 8/1 Birmingham; 9/2 draw
4/1Crawley; 4/7 Stoke; 5/2 draw
7/1 Stevenage; 1/4 Tottenham; 4/1 Draw
4/5 Norwich; 11/4 Leicester; 23/10 draw

To Qualify:
1/16 Liverpool; 7/1 Brighton
1/16 Chelsea; 7/1 Birmingham
9/4 Crawley; 1/3 Stoke
13/2 Stevenage; 1/14 Tottenham
1/2 Norwich; 6/4 Leicester

How many Premier League teams will make the final: 1/8 two; 9/2 one; 100/1 none

Who will concede more in FA Cup fifth round: 5/6 Stevenage; 2/1 Crawley; 3/1 Tie

You Bet Hughes And Barton Will Be Staying Put Despite First Defeat!

Mark Hughes’ reign at QPR started with defeat and William Hill are offering 4/1 that he is no longer at QPR come the start of next season (1/7 to still be there). Should QPR be relegated, Hills offer 7/1 that they win the League and 3/1 that they would gain promotion by any means.

Joey Barton was the subject of much speculation in the Sunday papers as they suggested that Mark Hughes could let him go in January. Hills are erring on the side of caution and make him 1/8 to stay (9/2 to leave in January). Joey Barton did not play against Newcastle due to being suspended and Hills go 1/4 that he starts the first game for QPR that he is available for.

“Mark Hughes has already claimed that Joey Barton will remain his captain and while it is not uncommon for clubs to sell their leaders, we think that Joey will be staying put for the time being,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Mark Hughes to be at QPR on the first day of next season: 1/7 yes; 4/1 no

Joey Barton to still be at QPR at the end of the January transfer window: 1/8 yes; 9/2 no

Joey Barton to start first match he is available for: 1/4 yes; 11/4 no

Will Ba Go Bye Bye As Newcastle Could Be Carroll Singing?

Rumours abound that Andy Carroll could be on his way back to Newcastle as his Liverpool career has struggled to take off. William Hill think he will remain on Merseyside, however, offering 1/10 that he does not return to the Magpies (11/2 that he does). In just under one year at Liverpool, Andy Carroll has managed just four Premier League goals and Hills make him 8/13 to score more than that for Newcastle (should he sign) by the end of the season.

“To say that Andy Carroll has struggled at Liverpool, would be a bit of an understatement but, despite this, the extended absence of Luis Suarez means that the Reds may not cut their losses just yet,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Andy Carroll’s arrival on Tyneside could depend on whether Demba Ba’s release clause is activated, with a number of top teams reportedly interested in signing the Senegalese striker. He is 2/1 to leave St. James’ Park in January with PSG the 13/8 favourites to be his next club. Spurs are 11/4 second favourites to be Ba’s next club with Chelsea 3/1.

Thierry Henry marked his return to Arsenal by scoring and did so sporting a full beard. Hill’s think that Henry will now keep his beard for the full duration that he stays at Arsenal offering 1/2 that he does not appear clean shaven (as smooth as a baby’s bum during a match).

“We believe that Thierry Henry is very superstitious and think he will keep the beard until he departs at the end of February,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Andy Carroll to return to Newcastle in January: 11/2 Yes; 1/10 no (loan deals included)

If Andy Carroll moves back to Newcastle, will he score more than four: 8/13 yes; 6/5 no

Demba Ba Leave Newcastle in January: 2/1 yes; 4/11 no

Damba Ba next club: 13/8 PSG; 11/4 Tottenham; 3/1 Chelsea; 8/1 Arsenal; 8/1 Liverpool; 10/1 Man Utd; 14/1 Man City

Will Thierry Henry appear clean shaven for a match during his time at Arsenal: 1/2 no; 6/4 yes
