David Beckham brushed aside questions about him becoming England manager in the future, but William Hill think that he may well dip his toes into the managerial pond at some point in the future. “Beckham was an incredibly popular player and the chances are that he would prove a popular choice as England manager, although he may have to cut his teeth at a lower level before getting the big job,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

It would appear that management may be the way forward for Becks with Hills offering 11/2 that he ever starts another game for England and 9/4 that he makes an appearance at any point for the Three Lions, although 2/1 is available for him to start a match for Team GB at London 2012.

England U21s Odds On To Be Packing Bags After Czech Game…hills 2011/12 Sack Race Odds

England U21s need a win against the Czech Republic if they are to progress from their group and are 23/20 with William Hill to do so. They are 6/10 to fail to win and crash out of the tournament. Whatever happens, England need to score and Daniel Sturridge, one of only a few small bright spots in England’s team, is 11/2 to open the scoring in the match, while Danny Welbeck is 13/2.

“England have so far been underwhelming in the tournament and it may be down to Daniel Sturridge or Danny Welbeck to fire them into the semi finals,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Although the odds suggest that England will be packing their bags after Sunday’s game.”

Stuart Pearce is offered at 3/1 with Hills to become the Team GB manager at next year’s Olympics.
