Late Goal Could Be Robben Pearce Of Shot A Euro Glory

Harry Redknapp is the 1/7 favourite to become the next England manager with Stuart Pearce out from 6/1 to 8/1, Pep Guardiola 9/1 and Roy Hodgson 14/1.

“That late goal could ultimately cost Pearce a shot at the Euros, drifting from 2/1 to 5/1 to lead the squad out in Poland and the Ukraine,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Harry looks like the man now.”

Scott Parker performed well in his first game as England captain and William Hill make him 4/6 to wear the armband against France at the Euros, with Steven Gerrard 7/4, Joe Hart 4/1, Frank Lampard 12/1 and Gareth Barry 14/1.

Mourinho Managerial Mania

MOURINHO MANAGERIAL MANIA – PUT THE HOUSE ON IT!

JOSE MOURINHO’s house-buying trip to London has seen punters desperate to back him to become a manager in England – or of England!
‘Mourinho’s odds of becoming England manager have been slashed from 20/1 to 12/1 FOURTH FAVOURITE – he is 5/2 FAVOURITE to become the next permanent Manchester United manager; 5/2 JOINT FAVOURITE to do likewise at Chelsea; 6/1 SECOND FAVOURITE to do so at Spurs and 14/1 FOURTH FAVOURITE to land that role at Arsenal’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘Punters have gone Mourinho mad- and are indiscriminately backing him for any and every high profile managerial job they can think of – in fact, if the money is inspired he could soon find himself in charge of FOUR Premier League clubs AND the England team’.

LATEST WILLIAM HILL NEXT PERMANENT (Contract of year or longer) ENGLAND BOSS ODDS… 1/7 Redknapp; 8/1 Pearce; 9 Guardiola; 12 Mourinho; 14 Hodgson; 16 Hiddink.

Dutch Courage For Youngsters Ahead Of Replacing Rooney And Bent At Euros

England face Holland on Wednesday and with the Dutch two places higher in the FIFA rankings than England, William Hill offer 4/6 that they progress further in Euro 2012 than England (11/10 vice versa). England are 8/1 to win the tournament, but are 2/1 to go out in the group stages and the same price to go out in the quarter finals.

Robin van Persie will undoubtedly be looking to continue his rich vein of form at Wembley and Hills make him 4/1 to outscore England when they meet on Wednesday and he is 5/1 to outscore England for the whole of the tournament in the summer.

‘ARRY’S ENGLAND ODDS LENGTHENED AFTER DRUBBING AT EMIRATES

WILLIAM HILL have lengthened their odds for Harry Redknapp to be appointed as the next permanent England manager from 4/11 to 4/9 after Spurs’ horror-show at Arsenal.’If Harry thinks the reaction to the Spurs’ fans and the media after that result is bad, he may also consider the effect a similar defeat by England might be greeted when and if he becomes boss of the national team’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
However, the Spurs’ result is good news for Arsene Wenger – a25/1 chance to get the England job – who is now odds-on still to be in charge at the Emirates on the first day of next season with Hills who make him 8/15 still to be there, 11/8 to be gone, while his star striker RVP is 5/6 to be there, 5/6 not to.
Arsenal are now 11/8 for a top four finish with Hills who make Spurs 1/8; Chelsea 4/6; Liverpool 10/3.

Pass Master Backed For England Top Job…you Bet Tevez To Play Again For City!

Pep Guardiola has been backed in from 50/1 to 10/1 third favourite to become the next England boss with William Hill. Despite the plunge in his odds, Harry Redknapp remains the 4/11 favourite to get the gig on a permanent basis.

“With Barcelona losing at the weekend and falling 10 points behind Real Madrid in La Liga, Guardiola could well be on his way from the Nou Camp,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “And there would be no England fan that would complain should the national side start playing like Barca.”

Carlos Tevez has now been backed in from 5/6 to 1/2 to play at any point during the season for Manchester City (6/4 not to). “Having originally been offered at 7/4, it has been pretty much one way traffic, with punters thinking that Tevez may be offered yet another chance by Roberto Mancini,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Thierry Henry scored a hat-trick for Arsenal against Inter Milan at the San Siro nine years ago and Hills offer 50/1 that he parts the Gooners having scored three goals on Wednesday. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain has been on top form over the course of the last few weeks and William Hill are offering 11/8 that he makes the Euro 2012 squad (8/15).

Arsenal have won on their previous two visits to the San Siro and Hills offer 11/4 that they win again on Wednesday. 5/1 is offered for them to win with Robin van Persie to score. AC Milan are 11/10 to win and the draw is 21/10.

Next Permanent England manager: 4/11 Harry Redknapp; 6/1 Stuart Pearce; 10/1 Pep Guardiola; 11/1 Guus Hiddink; 12/1 Roy Hodgson; 14/1 Jose Mourinho; 20/1 Martin O’Neill; 25/1 Arsene Wenger; 25/1 Rafa Benitez; 33/1 BAR

Football Betting News From William Hill Bookmaker 2012-02-13 00:00:00

Klinsmann Back To White Hart Lane? Tevez To Return To City? RVP To Madrid?

William Hill are offering 14/1 that Harry Redknapp qualifies for the Champions League for Spurs AND wins the European Championships as England manager. Should Redknapp become the England manager, a job for which he is 4/11 to get, Hills make Jose Mourinho the 9/2 favourite to succeed him at White Hart Lane. Newspaper reports have, however, suggested that current US coach and Spurs legend, Jurgen Klinsmann could be in line to take over and he has been cut from 16/1 to 10/1 to take over from Redknapp.

“Klinsmann is a legend at Spurs and has shown himself to be quite a capable manager as well,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Spurs fans would not be upset with his appointment.”

Fernando Torres’ barren spell continued against Everton on Saturday but Hills reckon he could return to scoring ways in the FA Cup being 6/5 to score his next goal for Chelsea against Birmingham. He is 9/2 to bag his next against Napoli and the same price to do so against Bolton. It is 6/1 for his next Chelsea goal to come against West Brom, although he is 3/1 to fail to score in any of those four matches. Andre Villas Boas is also under pressure at Chelsea and Hills are offering 6/1 that both he and Torres have left Chelsea by the first game of next season.

Carlos Tevez is reportedly returning to Manchester on Tuesday and has been earmarked for a return to the City squad over the coming weeks, but William Hill are odds on (at 4/7) that he does not make another appearance for the Blues this season (5/4 he does).

“The January transfer window has shut and Tevez staying in Argentina does nobody any favours,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “His return could well see him back in the first team squad.”

Arsene Wenger has described the Spanish press as “creative” as they suggest that Robin van Persie could be joining Real Madrid in the summer. William Hill offer 8/11 that van Persie is still at Arsenal on the first day of next season, but also offer 5/2 that he is at Real Madrid. He is 6/1 to have joined Barcelona, 9/1 Manchester City and 14/1 Paris Saint Germain.

4/1 PRE-MATCH HANDSHAKES TO BE SCRAPPED

WILLIAM HILL are offering 4/1 that pre-match handshakes will be scrapped officially in Premier League matches before the start of next season. Hills had offered 1/5 that Evra and Suarez WOULD shake hands, and 10/3 that they would not. Hills go 5/1 that Kenny Dalglish and Luis Suarez have left Liverpool by the first game of next season.

After Rio Ferdinand refused to shake hands with Suarez, Hills are offering 11/4 that he and John Terry will NOT start in the same Euro 12 side for England.

When will Torres next score: 6/5 Birmingham; 9/2 Napoli; 9/2 Bolton; 6/1 WBA; 3/1 not to score in any of these matches
*must start the first game or bets void

6/1 Both Andre Villas Boas and Fernando Torres to have left Chelsea by the start of 2012/13 season

5/1 Both Kenny Dalglish and Luis Suarez to have left Liverpool by the start of 2012/13 season

Next Spurs Manager: 9/2 Jose Mourinho; 6/1 David Moyes; 10/1 Jurgen Klinsmann; 10/1 Carlo Ancelotti; 10/1 Brendan Rodgers; 12/1Tim Sherwood; 12/1 Martin O’Neill; 16/1 Mark Hughes; 16/1 Gus Poyet; 16/1Paul Lambert; 16/1 Slaven Bilic; 20/1 BAR

Redknapp to qualify for Champions League with Spurs and win Euros with England: 14/1

Carlos Tevez to play again for Manchester City this season (EPL or Europa League): 5/4 yes; 4/7 no

Robin van Persie club next season: 8/11 Arsenal; 5/2 Real Madrid; 6/1 Barcelona; 9/1 Manchester City; 14/1 PSG; 16/1 AC Milan; 20/1 Inter Milan; 33/1 Chelsea

Coyle Cut For Chop After Dire Home Defeat!

Following defeat in the vital relegation six pointer against Wigan, Bolton Wanderers are 8/11 to be relegated this season. Wigan remain hot favourites to go down at 1/4 with Blackburn 4/7 despite their victory over QPR, who are 5/4 to go down.

“It is becoming incredibly condensed at the bottom of the table and a little run could certainly see one of the sides move up the table and it could take a manager getting the sack to do this,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Of the bottom five clubs in the Premier League, only one of them have changed their manager and we could well see at least one of them go soon.”

Owen Coyle has also been cut from 10/1 to 6/1 to be the next manager to leave his job – a market that is headed by potential next England manager, Harry Redknapp at 5/4. Chelsea lost away to Everton and Andre Villas-Boas is 5/1 to be the next manager to go.

William Hill Odds:

Relegation: 1/4 Wigan; 4/7 Blackburn; 8/11 Bolton; 10/11 Wolves; 5/4 QPR; 9/1 West Brom; 12/1 BAR
