Fergie To Quit ? You Bet Someone Thinks So

FERGIE TO QUIT? YOU BET SOMEONE THINKS SO…..

IN PERHAPS ONE of the most unexpected gambles of pre-season, William Hill have had to shorten their odds for Sir Alex Ferguson to be the next Premier League manager to leave his position, from 40/1 to 12/1.
‘We took a few bets for Fergie to be the next boss out at 40/1 , the biggest of which was just £15 from a client in Stockport, and decided to trim the odds to 25/1 but were surprised then to take several bigger bets of up to £25 from Manchester addresses. We went 16/1 and took still more, this time up to £50 bets from the Cheshire area, so he is now 12/1 seventh favourite’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘We could just be seeing a speculative punt producing a bandwagon effect, but even Fergie will have to go eventually’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WILLIAM HILL…NEXT PREM BOSS TO GO….3/1 S Kean; 8/1 M McCarthy; 10/1 S Bruce; O Coyle; R Martinez; D Moyes; 12 R Mancini; Sir A Ferguson. 100/1 No manager to leave before end of season.Others on request.

Pearce’s Odds On The Drift

PEARCE ENGLAND BOSS ODDS LENGTHENED

FOLLOWING England’s disappointing elimination from the U21s tournament William Hill have doubled Stuart Pearce’s odds from 6/1 to 12/1 to succeed Fabio Capello as England boss. ‘Stuart’s side failed to win a game and couldn’t hold on to a late lead in their most vital game. Very few associated with the side have enhanced their reputations’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

6/1 Mc Leish Gone By End Of Year Etc

6/1 McLEISH OUT BEFORE END OF YEAR?

AFTER HIS controversial appointment as Villa boss, William Hill offer 6/1 that he will leave the position before the end of 2011 but believe he will lead the club to 8th-10th position next season – which they quote at 6/4, and make them 14/1 to finish in the top four and 20/1 to go down.
Hills make Villa 13/8 to win their opening game against 11/8 Fulham with the draw a 21/10 chance. ‘It would seem to be vital for McLeish to get off to a winning start if he is to get Villa fans on his side’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WILLIAM HILL SAY THAT over a quarter of a million pounds has been gambled with them on the five recent managerial markets for Birmingham, Cardiff, Chelsea, Fulham and Villa. ‘We won a five figure sum on McLeish’s appointment and a smaller sum on Malky Mackay should he be confirmed as Cardiff boss, but lost on Martin Jol. These markets have provided us with a terrific turnover in the absence of any Premier League matches, and confirm the tremendous interest in all elements of the top division’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

When Will McLEISH Leave Villa?

Boss Bets

BOSS BETS

WITH FOUR high profile clubs still endeavouring to acquire new managers, William Hill think Aston Villa are probably closest to doing a deal – with Alex McLeish 1/6 favourite to get the job, with Mark Hughes 9/2 second favourite, ahead of 10/1 chance David Moyes and 20/1 shots, Messrs Coyle, Poyet and Rijkaard.
McLeish’s former club, Birmingham are 5/4 to appoint Chris Hughton with Hills who also offer 3/1 Di Matteo; 5/1 Davies; 7/1 Zola; 8/1 Cotterill; 9/1 Curbishley; 9/1 Shearer; 12/1 Jones.
Hills make Guus Hiddink 1/4 favourite to become the next Chelsea manager/coach and also offer 9/2 Mark Hughes; 7/1 Harry Redknapp; 8/1 Andre Villas-Boas; 20/1 Pep Guardiola.
Malky Mackay has become 3/10 favourite to get the Cardiff job with Hills who also offer 9/2 Hughton; 7/1 Robins; 8/1 Shearer (still attracting support despite his statement); 9/1 Di Matteo; 10 Hughes; 14 Davies; 16 McInnes.
‘These markets have seen hundreds of thousands of pounds being gambled with favourite after favourite dropping out of the running – long may the confusion continue as far as we are concerned’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Ardley Surprising As Girl Power Tips Neal For Cardiff Job

Ardley a surprise, really!
GIRL-POWER BOOSTS ARDLEY CLAIMS TO CARDIFF JOB….

WILLIAM HILL have taken a string of bets from female punters in different parts of north London – all backing the club’s Youth Academy coach Neal Ardley to be appointed their next manager. Hills slashed Ardley’s odds from 40/1 to 8/1 this evening as cash came in for him, ‘This was an interesting gamble from two different angles – firstly, virtually all of the initial bets for him were placed by female customers, and, secondly, the bets were placed either in North London betting shops, or by online clients with North London addresses – an area which would seem at first glance to have little connection to Cardiff – but experience has taught us that people will often try to throw us off the scent of a gamble by placing the bets in unexpected places at unexpected times and in unexpected amounts!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.’The bets were for an average of around £40, ranging from £10 to three figures’
