4/1 For Frank To Join Becks At Galaxy

LA Galaxy Chief, Tim Leiweke, has confirmed that he would be interested in making a move for Frank Lampard and William Hill think that a potential reunion with David Beckham could well be on the cards. He is 4/1 to leave Chelsea at the end of the season and move to the MLS champions.

“Any move for Frank to LA would be dependent on one of, designated players, Landon Donovan, Robbie Keane or David Beckham departing,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “It would also depend on what the future Mrs. Lampard would think about moving to America.”

Fast Food Worker Serves Up A £75.5k Winner At William Hill

A mystery 53 year old William Hill shop punter, from Caernarfon, is on cloud nine after a £2 football accumulator paid out to the tune of £75,582.85. The punter, who works for a fast food restaurant and names Fenerbahce as his favourite team says that his biggest win before has been £301 on the 49s, the twice daily numbers draw made in shops.

The punter’s accumulator included both Sunday matches in the Premier League – backing Swansea at 3/1 and Newcastle at 8/11, as well as another 12 matches from around Europe and paid out at odds of just over 37790/1. When asked if he had any plans for the money, he said he was going to treat his wife and three children.

“This punter must have an incredible knowledge of European football as he has not just picked 14 favourites in his selections, he has gone for a few outsiders as well,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

11/10 Huesca vs Deportivo La Coruna

You Bet Hughes And Barton Will Be Staying Put Despite First Defeat!

Mark Hughes’ reign at QPR started with defeat and William Hill are offering 4/1 that he is no longer at QPR come the start of next season (1/7 to still be there). Should QPR be relegated, Hills offer 7/1 that they win the League and 3/1 that they would gain promotion by any means.

Joey Barton was the subject of much speculation in the Sunday papers as they suggested that Mark Hughes could let him go in January. Hills are erring on the side of caution and make him 1/8 to stay (9/2 to leave in January). Joey Barton did not play against Newcastle due to being suspended and Hills go 1/4 that he starts the first game for QPR that he is available for.

“Mark Hughes has already claimed that Joey Barton will remain his captain and while it is not uncommon for clubs to sell their leaders, we think that Joey will be staying put for the time being,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Mark Hughes to be at QPR on the first day of next season: 1/7 yes; 4/1 no

Joey Barton to still be at QPR at the end of the January transfer window: 1/8 yes; 9/2 no

Joey Barton to start first match he is available for: 1/4 yes; 11/4 no

The Million Man: Barton’s Tweet Is Looking Sweet

Joey Barton breached the million follower mark and William Hill are offering 10/1 that he manages to overtake the two kings of English football tweeting, Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand, by the end of the season. He is 5/2 to overtake one of them and 1/3 to fail to overtake either of them. Given his propensity to controversial tweeting, Hills are offering 11/4 that he is banned from tweeting by QPR before the end of the season.

“Joey’s twitter feed, which spans from philosophy, through football banter and so-called ‘TOWIE bashing’, is proving incredibly popular and its diversity could help in making it the number one Twitter footy feed by the end of the season,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “He just has to make sure that he is not too controversial otherwise his club may force him to quit.”

Wigan Man Lands The ‘impossible’ Treble!

You would have thought that an Everton fan based in Wigan would be used to supporting the underdogs and his penchant for the plucky outsiders has earned him a share of William Hill’s longest odds football treble. The man, in his mid 40s, who wishes to remain anonymous placed £5.00 on Blackburn beating Manchester United, Aston Villa beating Chelsea and when Ji Dong-Won scored the 93rd minute winner for Sunderland against Manchester City landing a 1517/1 hat-trick of results worth £7590.

“To find three of the least predictable of the season and put them in a virtually impossible treble leaves us very relieved he was only prepared to risk a fiver on the outcome,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “The Blackburn game saw the biggest winning Premier League odds we have ever offered, 22/1 for them to win at Old Trafford and by adding Sunderland and Villa to the mix, the lucky punter beat odds of 1517/1. It is a little surprising he didn’t add Everton to win at West Brom, which would have boosted his winnings to nearly £20,000.”

The winning selections:

£5 stake scooped £7590

Blackburn to beat Manchester United: 22/1
Aston Villa to beat Chelsea: 10/1
Sunderland to beat Manchester City: 5/1

Tweeting Twit Barton Barking Up Wrong Tree

Joey Barton has come out and stated that he thinks it is only a matter of time before a team sues a match official although William Hill are on the side of the officials, offering 16/1 that a Premier League club sues a referee in the next 5 years (1/100 that they don’t).

“Joey Barton is still angry at what he sees as an unjustified red cad against Norwich and quite possibly has not given any thought to the logic of his argument,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Any attempt by a club to sue an official would contravene the ‘RESPECT’ campaign and would surely result in ramifications for that particular club.”

Will any Premier League club sue a match official in the next five years: 16/1 yes; 1/100 no
