Wl Corks Be Popping For Shearer ?

WILL SHEARER BE POPPING CORKS TO CELEBRATE CARDIFF JOB?

A GAMBLE which began in Cork has catapulted Alan Shearer into the position of second favourite to become the next Cardiff manager with bookmakers William Hill who have slashed his odds from 10/1 to 6/4.
‘We began to see bets for Shearer on Monday night and soon noticed that almost all of them – and they were for up to 200 euros a time- were coming from the Cork area. We reduced the odds but the bets continued to come in and eventually we began to see money from other areas. The gamble has continued on Tuesday morning and we wouldn’t be surprised to see Shearer become favourite over Malky Mackay very shortly’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Mark My Words – Sparky Gamble May Be Extnguished

MARK MY WORDS – HE MAY NOT GET THE JOB!

BETTING SUPPORT for Mark Hughes to become Aston Villa boss has dramatically dried up – and William Hill have lengthened his odds from 1/3 to 4/5 favourite. ‘Having been backed as though the job was about to be handed to him, support for Mark Hughes to become Villa boss tailed off dramatically during the afternoon’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
However, 7/2 second favourite Steve McLaren and 5/1 third favourite Carlo Ancelotti have both attracted support.
Hills also make Rafa Benitez 6/1, Roberto Martinez 7/1 and Martin Jol 10/1. ‘This particular market may have longer to run than many sspected’ added Sharpe.

You Bet Guardiola To Pep Up His Cv With Chelsea Job

The gamble on Harry Redknapp to be the next Chelsea manager has lost momentum somewhat, opening the door once again for Guus Hiddink. Redknapp is the favourite for the Chelsea gig at 6/4, but Hiddink has been backed in to 2/1 from 9/2 yesterday following an early morning gamble on the Turkey boss. Pep Guardiola has been well backed also, in from 7/1 to 5/2 since yesterday. Marco van Basten, however, has gone the other way, drifting from 5/2 second favourite to 4/1.

“The real money in the last 24 hours has been for Hiddink and Guardiola. Where the latter is concerned, it appears our punters think Guardiola would like to Pep up his CV with a new challenge following all his success at Barcelona,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Next Chelsea Manager:

MANCHESTER UNITED are the longest odds they have been all season to win a game in 90minutes play as they prepare to take on Barcelona in the Champions League, with William Hill offering them at 3/1 to clinch victory without having to worry about extra time or a penalty shot-out. Barca are 21/20 for a 90min win with the draw 21/10.

You Bet Green Would Glove To Play For England Again!

Following the news that Rob Green has withdrawn himself from England duty indefinitely, William Hill have opened a market on who will be the next English goalkeeper to start a competitive game (excluding Joe Hart). Despite their recent announcements, Rob Green is the 9/4 favourite, while Ben Foster is 5/2. Other contenders in the frame to be England’s number two are Scott Carson at 3/1, Scott Loach at 9/2 and Paul Robinson at 14/1.

“Rob Green and Ben Foster have obviously grown tired of playing second fiddle to Joe Hart, but our odds suggest that if England’s number one was to suffer an injury or a lack of form, they may well consider a return to the international fold,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Next English Goalkeeper to start a competitive game (excluding Joe Hart): 9/4 Rob Green; 5/2 Ben Foster; 3/1 Scott Carson; 9/2 Scott Loach; 14/1 Paul Robinson; others on request

FA Bigwigs Expected To Buy British

The FA are remaining coy over who will replace Fabio Capello and have refused to rule out a foreign coach succeeding the Italian. Despite this, William Hill make Harry Redknapp the 6/4 front runner followed by Stuart Pearce and Martin O’Neill, both 6/1 shots. The first foreign manager (excluding O’Neill) to appear in Hill’s betting is Jose Mourinho, offered at 14/1, followed by Guus Hiddink at 16/1.

“The FA have refused to rule out a foreign coach, but we believe that the FA will buy British this time around,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Next England Manager: 6/4 Harry Redknapp; 6/1 Martin O’Neill; 6/1 Stuart Pearce; 8/1 Gareth Southgate; 9/1 Roy Hodgson; 10/1 Sam Allardyce; 14/1 Steve Bruce; 14/1 Jose Mourinho; 16/1 Guus Hiddink; 20/1 Ian Holloway; 20/1 David Beckham; 20/1 Glenn Hoddle; 20/1 Mark Hughes; 20/1 Arsene Wenger; 20/1 Alan Shearer; others on request
