Stuart Pearce may have not selected David Beckham for the 18 man Olympics football squad but he has hinted that he may well be on the stand by list. He is 7/2 with William Hill to play at the games.

If selected on the stand by list Beckham could only take the place of Ryan Giggs, Craig Bellamy or Micah Richards due to the restrictions of over age players. Golden Balls is 8/1 to score this summer and it is 14/1 that it is from a free kick. Even more remarkable would be if he captained the team. That is offered at 12/1 with Hills.

Becks playing at the Olympics would be remarkable even to his own standards. It was a shock to see him omitted from the squad but would be even more shocking if he were to come back.
