WILLIAM HILL have cut their odds about Carlo Ancelotti leaving Chelsea before the first day of next season – and opened a book on when the club will next win a Premier League game.

City Favourites For Europa After Easy Victory…tractor Boys Ease Pressure On Keane

Manchester City had an easy victory tonight and in the process secured their route into the knock-out stages of the Europa Cup. William Hill make them 9/2 favourites to win the competition. They are also 8/11 to get further in the competition than the only other English side left, Liverpool. The Reds are 2/1 to outdo City.

We now have our four semi finalists for the Carling Cup and who would have thought that Ipswich would reach that round? The Tractor Boys have eased some of the immediate pressure on their manager, Roy Keane by getting that far and his odds to still be there at the start of next season have shortened from 7/2 to 3/1. Ipswich are 12/1 outsiders to win the competition made all the tougher by the fact that they have Arsenal in the next round. The Gunners are 4/7 to win the final at Wembley.

William Hill Odds:

Carling Cup Outright: 4/7 Arsenal; 7/2 Birmingham; 4/1 West Ham; 12/1 Ipswich

Late Backing For England To Win 2018 World Cup Bid

ENGLAND BACKED TO WIN 2018 WORLD CUP BID

AFTER drifting out to 3/1 with William Hill to host the 2018 World Cup after the Panorama show, England have been the medium of a hefty patriotic gamble to win the right to stage the event following the efforts of Prince William , David Beckham and David Cameron and Hills have slashed their odds to 13/8 second favourites. ‘The cash has been piling on England to win the right to stage the 2018 World Cup bid but although over 75% of the bets have been for England, the larger bets are for the favourites, Russia. As bookies we face a six figure payout if England do win the bid, but we’ll be delighted to shell out as a World Cup in England would produce a record betting turnover of in excess of £2billion’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
WILLIAM HILL OFFER 5/2 THAT DAVID CAMERON WILL STILL BE PRIME MINISTER WHEN THE 2018 WORLD CUP KICKS OFF – AND 25/1 THAT ENGLAND WILL BOTH HOST AND WIN THE 2018 TOURNAMENT.
And William Hill offer 10/1 that the 2026 World Cup will be organised by a new organisation not related to FIFA. ‘There is speculation that several influential countries are not happy with FIFA’s practices and domination of world football and may be prepared to attempt to break their monopoly oforganising the World Cup’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

LATEST WILLIAM HILL 2018 WORLD CUP BID ODDS…8/11 Russia; 13/8 England; 9/2 Portugal/Spain; 40/1 Holland/Belgium.

USA SUPPORTED FOR 2022

WILLIAM HILL have cut their odds for the USA to host the 2022 World Cup from 9/2 to 5/2 after a flurry of support for them to do so. ‘The late money is all for USA but Qatar look like remaining favourites’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

LATEST WILLIAM HILL 2022 WORLD CUP BID ODDS….4/6 Qatar; 5/2 Australia; 5/2 USA; 33/1 Japan; 40/1 S Korea.

England Now Joint Favs For World Cup Bid Win

Patriotic gamble slashes England World Cup 2018 odds:
ENGLAND NOW JOINT FAVOURITES TO WIN WORLD CUP BID

ENGLAND have been backed down to joint favouritism to win the 2018 World Cup bid with William Hill who have slashed their odds from 11/4 on Wednesday morning to 6/5, while Russia’s odds have drifted from 4/6 to 6/5.
‘Almost all of the bets staked on Wednesday – over 90% of them – were for England in a giant patriotic punt’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘Putin’s failure to attend seemed to persuade punters that he didn;t believe Russia could win and that sparked the main part of the gamble’

WILLIAM HILL: TO WIN WORLD CUP 2018 BID…6/5 England; 6/5 Russia; 4/1 Portugal/Spain; 40/1 Holland/Belgium.

TO WIN 2022 BID…4/6 Qatar; 5/2 Australia; USA; 33 Japan; 40 S Korea.

The Fluctuating Fortunes Of England’s World Cup Bid

Monday evening’s Panorama exposé saw the odds of England hosting the World Cup pushed out to 3/1 with William Hill however, following a number of three figure bets, the odds have since been cut to 11/4. Not since England first threw their name into the hat have their odds been as long.

England initially expressed their interest in hosting the 2018 World Cup back in November 2005 and they were offered at 8/1. They then started to attract some tentative bets totalling around £3000, by the time England officially announced they would be entering the race, they were 4/1 shots. In February 2007 England became odds on favourites (4/6) for the first time but by March the English bid was back out to 6/4. The English odds hovered around Evens until November 2009 when Dave Richards handed in his resignation as Chairman of the Premier League and the odds were eased out to 11/4, however the announcement of the potential English stadia saw the odds slashed to 7/4.

Since the bid was handed over by David Beckham in January of this year, England have remained favourites at one point as short as 8/11, however when the Times uncovered the FIFA cash for votes scandal Russia’s bid overtook them for the first time.

“England’s odds have fluctuated massively over the course of the last five years but as it stands England are still our biggest loss but we would be more than happy to pay out on football coming home. In the long run, a domestic World Cup would see turnover break all World Cup betting records,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

How The Odds Have Changed:

5th November 2005 – Initial interest – 8/1
20th January 2007 – Official Bid Announcement – 4/1
12th February 2007 – First Odds-On – 4/6
24th November 2009 – Dave Richards resigns as Chairman of the Premier League – 11/4
7th January 2010 – Potential English Stadia announced – 7/4
12th May 2010 – David Beckham hands over Bid book – 11/10
12th June2010 – Back to odds on – 5/6
17th October 2010 – Times Exposé – 11/8
29th November 2010 – Panorama – 3/1

William Hill World Cup Odds:

2018 Bid: 4/6 Russia; 11/4 Portugal & Spain; 11/4 England; 20/1 Belgium & Holland

25/1 England Host and Win the World Cup in 2018

£2 Punter Wins Big On Hammers Hammering United

Although plenty of people would have been expecting Arsenal to triumph against Wigan tonight, not many people were expecting West Ham to win and even fewer predicted 4-0 – with the biggest bet placed being £2 at William Hill, with odds of 125/1. Hills are offering 5/2 that tonight’s victors meet each other in the final with Arsenal the 8/11 favourites to win the tournament and West Ham 9/2.

“Upton Park was bouncing tonight, not least in the seat that housed the loyal Hammer who placed £2 at 125/1 on 4-0. There was not many people who risked even £1 on such an unlikely outcome,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Ipswich are the only non-Premier League side left but even that may not be able to save Roy Keane’s job should they be humiliated tomorrow against West Brom. Hills are offering 4/1 that Keano leaves his job between the end of the West Brom game and the start of the Swansea game.

William Hill Carling Cup Odds:

Outright: 8/11 Arsenal; 9/2 West Ham; 13/2 Aston Villa; 9/1 West Brom; 9/1 Birmingham; 20/1 Ipswich

5/2 West Ham/Arsenal Final

4/1 Roy Keane leaves his job between the end of the West Brom game and the start of the Swansea game

England World Cup 2018 Odds Drift After Panorama

ENGLAND WORLD CUP 2018 ODDS DRIFT

FOLLOWING Monday night’s Panorama programme, William Hill have lengthened their odds for England to win the 2018 World Cup bid from 9/4 second favourites to 3/1 third favourites. ‘While the programme did not seem to suggest anything which would have a direct impact on England’s bid there may be a public backlash against the conditions imposed by FIFA which, it was suggested, the Bid Team is prepared to go along with.’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.’FIFA representatives may also not be that impressed by some of the allegations levelled against them.’

WILLIAM HILL NOW MAKE RUSSIA 4/6 FAVOURITES TO HOST THE 2018 WORLD CUP, WITH THE SPAIN/PORTUGAL BID 11/4 SECOND FAVOURITE, ENGLAND 3/1 THIRD FAVOURITE AND BELGIUM/HOLLAND 16/1 OUTSIDERS.
