BOOKMAKERS William Hill have opened a book on whether Englands players will wear poppies on their shirts when they take on Spain at the weekend and the bookies have pledged to donate all of their winnings from the market to the Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal.
We think it is unlikely that the FA will be permitted to wear the poppy shirts, but doubt whether they would do it regardless and risk the wrath of the governing body. However, we are very much in favour of poppies on the shirts, and will guarantee a minimum four figure donation to the Poppy Appeal, win or lose said William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Controversial changes regarding the potential elimination of relegation from the Premier League do not look likely to be introduced anytime soon according to William Hill. The bookies offer 10/1 that relegation is abolished before the start of the 2016/17 season and go 11/2 that the number of teams relegated from the Premier League each season is reduced from three by the same date.
These proposed changes have not gone down well at all with supporters of non-Premier League clubs and we think that the FA will share these concerns and veto any approach to eliminate relegation, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.
