Connor Already Odds On To Be Thrown To The Wolves By Next Season!

Wolves have today announced Terry Connor as their manager until the end of the season but whether Wolves stay up or go down (5/4 stay up / 4/7 relegation), William Hill are odds on at 8/11 that he is not in charge on the first day of next season (Even money to still be there). A new manager can often galvanise a push up the table but Hills offer 50/1 that they finish in the top half of the table, 9/2 11th – 14th and 2/1 15th – 17th.

Wolves are 5/1 to win Connor’s first match in charge and are 8/1 to finish the weekend at the foot of the table. Wigan are the 4/9 favourites, with Bolton 5/2, Blackburn 10/1 and QPR 25/1.

“We feel that Connor may well be in a lose/lose situation. Should he keep Wolves up, he may have to make way for a more experienced man and should they go down, he may have to leave for not being good enough,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Bridge Beginning To Bend Under Weight Of Expectation

Andre Villas Boas is under intense pressure at Chelsea and should things not go his way against Bolton on Saturday, he could be on his way. Gamble On Arsene To Stay At Arsenal…fa Cup Specials

Arsenal fans have been rallying around Arsene Wenger since their humiliating midweek defeat and in the last 48 hours, his odds of still being at the club have been backed from 8/11 to 8/13 with William Hill. Hills have also seen support for both Wenger and Robin van Persie to still be at Arsenal on the first day of next season, offered at 15/8 having previously been 2/1 (3/1 to leave). Andre Villas Boas is under considerable pressure at Chelsea, although the odds of him still being there at the start of next season have come in slightly to 4/7, while Harry Redknapp is odds-against at 2/1 to still be at Spurs by the same day.

Fa Cup Latest From Official Betting Partner Of The Cup

William Hill, the official betting partner and an official supporter if the FA Cup, have priced up some of the match ups and unsurprisingly make both Liverpool and Chelsea 1/16 shots to qualify from their ties. Hills offer 1/8 that the final is contested between two Premier League sides, 100/1 that no Premier League sides make it and 9/2 that one does.

With Stevenage and Crawley both making it into the draw for the fifth round, Hills are offering 5/6 that Stevenage concede more goals in their match against Tottenham than Crawley do in their match against Stoke.

“Crawley and Stevenage are going to be up against it, but the only thing predictable about the outcome of the FA Cup is that it is so unpredictable and we could see a couple of the proverbial banana skins,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

“I am really looking forward to the Liverpool/Brighton match as both sides play a similar brand of football and after the way that Brighton played against Newcastle, Liverpool could be in for a tricky tie,” said Gaizka Mendieta, speaking exclusively to William Hill.

Mendieta also selected a treble for William Hill picking Liverpool, Chelsea and Crawley Town all to qualify and Hills offer 17/10 that his predictions come true.

Note to editors: Hills are also providing a copy of ball number nine (Stevenage) being drawn by Gaizka Mendieta

1/5 Liverpool; 8/1 Brighton; 9/2 Draw
1/5 Chelsea; 8/1 Birmingham; 9/2 draw
4/1Crawley; 4/7 Stoke; 5/2 draw
7/1 Stevenage; 1/4 Tottenham; 4/1 Draw
4/5 Norwich; 11/4 Leicester; 23/10 draw

To Qualify:
1/16 Liverpool; 7/1 Brighton
1/16 Chelsea; 7/1 Birmingham
9/4 Crawley; 1/3 Stoke
13/2 Stevenage; 1/14 Tottenham
1/2 Norwich; 6/4 Leicester

How many Premier League teams will make the final: 1/8 two; 9/2 one; 100/1 none

Who will concede more in FA Cup fifth round: 5/6 Stevenage; 2/1 Crawley; 3/1 Tie
