Rooney’s miss was just another in a catalogue of “barn-door” moments and Hills are taking bets on how Rooney’s next goal will come about. The early kick off on Saturday sees Bolton visit the Stadium of Light in a matchup between two of the Premier League’s surprise packages. The two sides sit in sixth and seventh and Hills are offering 13/8 that one of the pair play some form of European football next season and 16/1 that they both do. Sunderland are the 6/5 favourites to win, while the visitors are 12/5. The draw is 11/5.

“Sunderland and Bolton have been a refreshing change to the normal predictability of the league this season. In Bruce and Coyle they have two of the finest up and coming British managers and a European tour would be no less than their efforts so far deserve,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Arsenal have been drawn against Barcelona in the Champions League and as a result, Hills have cut their price to end the season without a trophy from 15/8 to 7/4. Arsene Wenger is also 4/1 to have left Arsenal by the first game of next season.

Arsenal won against Partizan with relative ease tonight and William Hill have priced them at 11/1 to win this year’s Champions’ League. Conversely, Chelsea lost for the first time in this year’s competition against Marseille as their poor run of form continued and they have eased from 4/1 to 5/1 . Hills are offering 11/10 that Chelsea’s next victory comes against Tottenham at the weekend and 12/1 that they do not win a game until AFTER they have played Bolton on the 28th December 2010.

Hills are offering 5/1 that two British teams contest the Champions’ League final, while Chelsea are the 11/8 favourites to be the British team to progress the furthest in the competition.

Arsenal finished second in their group, which means that they could come up against Barcelona, the 9/4 favourites to win the competition and Hills are offering 11/4 that the teams that competed the ’06 final face each other in the last 16.

Fa Cup Third Round Throws Together The Old Enemy

The FA Cup Third Round was drawn today and William Hill make Chelsea the 4/1 favourites to lift the trophy.
