Fab Move For Cesc

FAB MOVE FOR CESC
After taking a string of bets on Cesc Fabregas leaving Arsenal before the start of next season, William Hill now make him an odds-on shot at 8/11 to be playing elsewhere on the first day of next season and Even money still to be with the Gunners.

“Punters seem to believe that Cesc has already agreed to leave Arsenal at the end of the season and suspect that if he does go it is likely to be to Barcelona”, said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Last Tango In Paris? – Bookies Slash Odds On Ireland V France Replay

William Hill have cut the odds of a replay taking place between Ireland and France from 100-1 to 10-1 following a huge swell of support behind the Irish cause.

The bookies have also reported strong money for Thierry ‘le hand’ Henry getting an official sanction from FIFA or UEFA. They originally offered odds of 10-3 for him to get a ban, but they are now only offering 9-4.

William Hill’s Irish spokesman Tony Kenny said “Punters seem to believe there is a real chance of FIFA ordering a replay and as a result, we’ve been forced to dramatically alter our odds.” He continued “We still think it’s very unlikely there will be a rematch between Ireland and France, but you never know!”

William Hill have also re-installed Ireland into their World Cup 2010 betting at an unlikely 1000-1.

++ William Hill have already pledged to refund all the punters who backed Ireland to qualify for next year’s World Cup finals.

Chelsea Odds On Not To Win Title This Or Next Season

CHELSEA 5/6 TO FAIL TO WIN PREM TITLE THIS SEASON AND NEXT AFTER TRANSFER BAN

FACING A BAN on buying players, Chelsea, currently 6/5 favourites to win this season’s Premiership title with William Hill, are now being quoted at 5/6 by Hills to FAIL to win the title either THIS or NEXT season.
Hills offer Chelsea at 5/1 to win the title both this season and next, and spokesman Graham Sharpe said, ‘Chelsea will doubtless appeal against this decision and it may not be beyond them to find a way around any restriction on acquiring players, possibly via the loans system, so we can’t see it having a major effect on their title chances during this and next season’.
Chelsea are Even money with Hills to win none of the major trophies this season, and 150/1 to win all four.

Who’ll Go First – Moyes Or O’ Neill ?

WHO’LL GO FIRST – MOYES OR O’NEILL?

WITH both of their sides making a disappointing start to the new season, William Hill have slashed the odds about David Moyes and Mart O’Neill being the first manager of the season to leave his club – and opened a book on which of the two will go first this season.
Hills make Moyes 7/1 to go first this season; O’Neill 8/1 but offer 1/7 that both will still be in place when the final Premiership game of the season kicks off.
Hills make Villa 8/11 by Hills to finish higher than Everton, who are Even money to do vice versa.
MOYES has been cut from 40/1 to 16/1 by Hills to be the first manager to go this season, with O’Neill down from 33/1 to 20/1. ‘Both are amongst the best regarded managers in the Premiership but their opening results have suggested that they might both struggle to equal or improve upon what their sides managed to do last season, and that could prompt a sacking or resignation’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
HILLS: FIRST PREMIERSHIP MANAGER TO PART COMPANY WITH CLUB: 7/2 Hart; 5/1 Brown; McLeish; 8/1 Hughes; 10/1 Megson; 16/1 McCarthy; Moyes; 20/1 O’Neill; 25 Benitez; Hodgson; Martinez.
