Scots Betting On Independence Yes Vote

Cameron speech prompts ‘yes’ bets as:
SCOTS BETTING ON INDEPENDENCE YES VOTE

WILLIAM HILL have cut their odds from 3/1 to 5/2 that the Scots will vote in favour of independence when they get the opportunity to do so in a Referendum. And Hills offer 4/11 that the Referendum will take place in 2014 – and 7/1 that the country will become independent by 2020.
‘Although the betting suggests an ultimate ‘no’ to independence at any Referendum, the money we have taken is almost all for a ‘yes’ vote- and every bet struck since David Cameron spoke on the issue has been for ‘yes’.’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
HILLS OFFER 2/5 THAT ONLY THOSE AGED 18 OR OVER WILL BE PERMITTED TO VOTE IN THE REFERENDUM, 7/4 THAT THE AGE LIMIT WILL BE LOWERED FROM THAT.

WILLIAM HILL…..

WHEN WILL SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE REFERENDUM TAKE PLACE?….4/11 2014; 11/4 2012/2013; 7/1 2015 OR LATER

WILL THE REFERENDUM PRODUCE A VOTE IN FAVOUR OF INDEPENDENCE? – 5/2 YES; 2/7 NO

WILL UNDER 18s BE PERMITTED TO VOTE IN REFERENDUM? – 2/5 NO – 7/4 YES

WILL SCOTLAND ACHIEVE INDEPENDENCE BY 2020? – 7/1 YES; 1/16 NO

78% Of Money Gambled Is For Harry To Be England Boss

78% OF MONEY GAMBLED IS FOR HARRY TO BE ENGLAND BOSS…..
BETTING support for Harry Redknapp has seen 78% of the cash William Hill have so far taken on the Next England Manager market since Capello resigned, gambled on the Spurs’ boss, with Stuart Pearce attracting 8.7% in second place, and Guus Hiddink 6.5% in third.
However, in terms of individual bets placed, Pearce is leading the way with 25% of bets struck, ahead of Hiddink in 2nd with 22% and Redknapp in third with 21%.
‘The discrepancy can probably be explained that Harry Redknapp is currently offered at odds of 4/11 ,which are unlikely to appeal to a gambler with a fiver in his or her pocket, whereas Pearce is quoted at 11/2 and Hiddink 12/1’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
WILLIAM HILL- NEXT PERMANENT ENGLAND BOSS- 4/11 Redknapp; 11/2 Pearce; 10 Mourinho; 12 Hiddink; Hodgson. Others on request.

All Shook Up Over Handshake Decision

PUNTERS AND BOOKIES ALL SHOOK UP BY BY NO HANDSHAKE DECISION

WILLIAM HILL have voided all bets in their market on whether Anton Ferdinand and John Terry would or would not shake hands in the pre-match handshake before the QPR-Chelsea game. ‘As the official pre-match handshake was cancelled, all bets have been voided as there was no opportunity for the subject of the wager to take place’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills opened the market at 4/6 that they would shake; 11/10 they would not. It closed at 2/1 they would, 4/11 they would not.

Liverpool Red Hot For Carling Cup Glory

Liverpool squeaked through into the final of the Carling Cup and unsurprisingly, the Reds are hot favourites to bring the trophy back to Anfield. William Hill make Kenny Dalglish’s men 1/7 to lift the trophy and 2/5 to win the final in 90 minutes. Cardiff are the outsiders and they are 4/1 to lift the trophy and 13/2 to win in 90 minutes. Hills think that Liverpool are such favourites that they have already started taking bets on how many goals Liverpool score on the day and make one the 15/8 favourite although they are 5/2 to score three or more on the day while Cardiff are 4/6 to score no goals.

“Whoever won between Liverpool and Manchester City were always going to be favourites to lift the Cup and we think the cup engraver may as well start practicing writing Liverpool now,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Andy Carroll found himself on the bench against City tonight and William Hill make him 5/6 to fail to start against Manchester United at the weekend.
