6/1 Mc Leish Gone By End Of Year Etc

6/1 McLEISH OUT BEFORE END OF YEAR?

AFTER HIS controversial appointment as Villa boss, William Hill offer 6/1 that he will leave the position before the end of 2011 but believe he will lead the club to 8th-10th position next season – which they quote at 6/4, and make them 14/1 to finish in the top four and 20/1 to go down.
Hills make Villa 13/8 to win their opening game against 11/8 Fulham with the draw a 21/10 chance. ‘It would seem to be vital for McLeish to get off to a winning start if he is to get Villa fans on his side’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WILLIAM HILL SAY THAT over a quarter of a million pounds has been gambled with them on the five recent managerial markets for Birmingham, Cardiff, Chelsea, Fulham and Villa. ‘We won a five figure sum on McLeish’s appointment and a smaller sum on Malky Mackay should he be confirmed as Cardiff boss, but lost on Martin Jol. These markets have provided us with a terrific turnover in the absence of any Premier League matches, and confirm the tremendous interest in all elements of the top division’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

ENGLAND ODDS-ON TO CZECH OUT OF EURO TOURNAMENT EARLY

ENGLAND are now 4/6 with William Hill to crash out of the U21 tournament at the Group stage following their disappointing draw against Ukraine.

Having drawn for the second time, England are now offered at 9/4 to draw, and 11/10 to win, their final group game against Czech Republic. Daniel Sturridge is the 11/2 favourite to open the scoring in the match, while Danny Welbeck, who squandered a glorious chance against the Ukraine, is 13/2.
‘England’s first two games have proved disappointing for fans and punters alike but we need them to get through to boost betting interest in the event, even though they’ll inevitably cost us a few bob if they goon to win the tournament’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
England are now out to 11/2 to win the tournament, having been as short as 9/2. Spain, having effectively qualified from their group are now 8/11 clear favourites to go on and win the tournament.

BOOKIES PAY OUT ON QPR- and whichever club is given title if Rangers lose it!

BOOKMAKERS William Hill have announced that they are paying out to customers who bet that QPR (10/1 pre-season) would win the Championship title. ‘We are paying out on QPR regardless of the outcome of any subsequent punishments which may be applied to the club’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘There is no way that the vast majority of punters could have been aware that off-field actions could potentially affect their points title. However, in the event that Rangers are deducted points and therefore adjudged not to have finished first in the table, we will also pay on whichever club is.’

Stuttering Striker At Chelsea For Long Haul

…………………William Hill Premier League Specials…………………………

STUTTERING STRIKER AT CHELSEA FOR LONG HAUL

Despite Fernando Torres’ current lack of form, William Hill think that Didier Drogba will be heading for the Chelsea exit first. Of the four top strikers at Chelsea at the moment, Drogba is the favourite, followed by Anelka at 7/4, Sturridge at 3/1 and Torres at 11/2.

“Despite the faltering start to his career as a blue, it looks as though Torres is at the Bridge for the long haul and it may well be that one of Chelsea’s other prize trinkets may be heading for the exit first,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Punters Kean On Steve To Go

William Hill punters have been Rovering around the country placing bets on Steve Kean to be the next Premier League boss to leave their club on the back of Blackburn’s 4-1 defeat at the weekend. The Rovers boss has been backed in from 50/1 to 6/1 to get the boot.

William Hill make no manager to go the 6/5 favourite in the sack race market ahead of 6/4 Avram Grant and 7/2 Carlo Ancelotti.

“Kean has been well backed over the course of the last few days as Blackburn slide toward the drop zone and it could well be Rover and out for Steve. A defeat for Chelsea tonight could spell the end of Ancelotti’s reign however,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
