City Slip Could Ultimately Cost Mancini His Job…ferdinand Vs. Terry Round Two…leeds Latest

Manchester City’s defeat to Everton has seen their lead at the top of the table wiped out and Roberto Mancini could find his job in danger if Manchester City fail to lift the trophy this season. William Hill make the City boss 11/4 to have left his position by the start of next season. Jose Mourinho could well be the replacement at the Etihad as he is the 13/8 favourite to be the next City manager.

Sir Alex Ferguson could also be on his way at the end of the season and Hills make him 11/4 to have left his position by the start of next season. Jose Mourinho is also the favourite to take over from Ferguson, with Hills making him 5/2 to be the next Red Devils manager.

“Jose Mourinho is up there as one of the best managers in the world and would be at the top of any elite club’s wish lists but it looks like Manchester will be his ultimate destination,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

5/1 All Prem Fa Cup Quarters…midweek Prem Specials

With a maximum of eight Premier League sides able to make it through to the FA Cup quarter finals, William Hill are offering 5/1 that the final eight sides are all from the Premier League.

“The draw has happened in such a way that the maximum number possible of Premier League sides can make it through to the quarters and at 5/1 it could well be possible,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Manchester City head to Everton hoping to maintain their challenge for a maiden Premier League title and Hills make the Blues 2/5 to lift the trophy at the end of the season. Hills are also offering 4/7 that City boss, Mancini, leaves his position before David Moyes does (5/4 to do vice versa).

“Should Manchester City throw away their dominant position at the head of the Premier League Mancini may well vacate his position, while David Moyes enjoys God-like status on the blue half of Merseyside and would surely only leave of his own volition,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Mancini Bookie Enemy Number One !

You bet Mancini bookies’ least favourite Italian since Frankie as:
‘FOOTBALL’S DETTORI DAY’ KICKS BOOKIES WHERE IT HURTS

WILLIAM HILL say that Saturday’s football results were so predictable for punters that they enjoyed their best ever day in the eternal battle with ‘the old enemy’
‘If Heineken ever created football results for football punters, these would have been the ones’ declared William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe .’They are the culmination of a run of results during the month, which have been as wallet-warming for football punters as the unseasonably mild November weather.

‘In the Premier League almost every punter was on Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal to win; the top two in the Championship, Southampton and West Ham both won; the top five in both League One and League Two all won, as did the top two in the Blue Square Premier. Celtic won in the SPL, and the only slight relief was that Rangers were held to a home draw, but then the games in the William Hill Scottish Cup did us no favours, either! It made for a perfect storm of results which have cost us a significant seven figure sum on a day when no bookmaker can have escaped a record payout.

It is football betting’s equivalent of racing’s Dettori day in 1996, when Frankie rode all seven winners at Ascot, costing the industry almost £50million- and we are again blaming an Italian, this time unbeaten Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, for kicking off the mayhem by beating the only other unbeaten club in the Premier League’
Punters backing long-odds accumulative bets were the biggest winners, collecting four and five figure sums from modest stakes.

Tevez On The Move In January…4/9 Never To Start For City Again

Carlos Tevez has attempted to build bridges with Roberto Mancini but William Hill do not think that his excuses will fly with the City boss and make the former captain 4/9 to fail to start a single game for City in the Premier League this season. His exit from City would appear to be edging ever closer and Hills make Juventus the 11/4 favourites to be the next side to capture his signature. He is 4/1 to sign for Corinthians, while he is 6/1 to join either Inter or AC Milan.

“Tevez appears to have made his bed and City will now be desperate to get rid of him,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “It would seem that he will not feature in a City starting XI ever again and Turin may be his most likely destination.”

Carlos Tevez:

To start a Premier League game for Manchester City: 13/8 yes; 4/9 no
