Manchester City Set Their Sights On Dzeko As Tevez 11/10 To Reign In Spain

Manchester City take on the fallen Italian giants, Juventus, in Turin, in what is a dead rubber in the Europa League. William Hill have City 9/5 to secure victory in Italy, while Juventus are 6/4 to win. City have not scored many goals recently, however, they have also conceded very few and Hills make them 3/1 to win to nil.

City are 5/1 to win the Europa League and 7/2 to get knocked out in the Quarter Final. They are 7/1 to reach the final and lose.

“The Europa League is currently City’s best chance at winning some silverware and even if they lose Tevez, our punters think that they are good value to win Europe’s second competition,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Money Bags Manchester City are all but certain to bolster their squad in January and Edin Dzeko, the Wolfsburg captain is Even money to make the move to Eastlands during the winter transfer window. Luis Suarez is 6/4 and the highly rated and much coveted Gary Cahill is 2/1.

The current news stories surrounding Carlos Tevez have sparked rumours as to where he will be plying his trade come the first day of next season, with Spain the 11/10 favourite. Manchester City are 6/4 to hold his registration, while any other English club is 6/1. There is as much chance of Tevez playing in South America as there is of him officially retiring, with both options priced at 10/1.

Despite the Carlos Tevez controversies, William Hill are not expecting them to impinge too greatly on Manchester City’s League aspirations, with fourth or fifth place looking the most likely, with both priced at 9/4. City are 6/1 to win the Premier League.

England 10/1 To Host 2030 World Cup

England now 10/1 to host 2030 World Cup……..£3 billion mega-gamble at 2018 World Cup?
THEY WILL NOT HOST IT, BUT YOU CAN BET ENGLAND WILL GO INTO 2018 WORLD CUP FINALS WITH STUART PEARCE AS BOSS, JACK WILSHERE AS SKIPPER, AND DAVID CAMERON AS PRIME MINISTER!!

DESPITE ENGLAND NOT HOSTING the 2018 World Cup, bookmakers William Hill are predicting that the tournament could produce the biggest betting turnover ever for a major sporting event of up to £3billion- and England are 14/1 with Hills to win it.
‘Each World Cup ALWAYS produces the biggest betting event so far, but with the tournament taking place in the home of both football and betting we are already anticipating an amazing betting bonanza with up to £3billion being gambled on the 2018 tournament worldwide – at least double what the 2010 event managed’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.’However, had England won we’d have expected a betting turnover of up to £5billion.’

ENGLAND are now 10/1 with William Hill to host the 2030 World Cup. ‘We’re now finding it as difficult to make a serious bid to host the World Cup as we do to win Eurovision’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

HILLS have already opened a book on a number of elements of the 2018 tournament: ‘The shrewd punters backed Russia – one South London customer staked £2000 on them at 4/5 -but a late patriotic gamble which promoted England back to the favouritism they lost after the Sunday Times revelations made the market a six figure winner for us – which is some (very) small consolation for the World Cup not coming home’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

ALREADY, Hills have put up markets for who will manage and skipper the England side which takes the field for the country’s first game of the 2018 World Cup finals – and which other players will be part of it – Wayne Rooney is 2/1 to make it, (and 9/1 favourite to score England’s first goal of the Finals) (1/2 not to) but the shortest priced contender is Jack Wilshere at 7/4 (4/7 not to). ‘Over seven years is a long time to wait for your winnings, but if you correctly select a player who starts you’ll be receiving back over 175% profit on your original investment – not something many banks and building societies are likely to be able to match!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. ‘And we are offering our punters a 100% market because of the timeframe, leaving no profit margin for ourselves’ he added.

Dire Night Of Football Brightened By Arsenal Loss…arsene 11/2 To Be Gone By Next Season

Arsenal lost tonight and Chelsea had to come from behind to win, in what were two very scrappy performances from British sides. Chelsea are the 11/8 favourites to progress furthest out of all the British teams with William Hill.

Arsenal, on the other hand, looked as though they had not recovered from their North London hangover and Hills now make them 7/2 to progress the furthest. Their odds of winning the Champions’ League have been eased from 10/1 to 12/1. Arsenal’s defeat saved bookies paying out a fair old wedge but should their current run of poor form continue, Arsene Wenger could find himself under pressure and Hills are offering 11/2 that he has left by the first game of next season. The Gunners are now level on points with tonight’s conquerors and Hills are offering 10/1 that Arsenal fail to qualify for the latter stages of the competition.

“It was a rather underwhelming evening of football but despite this, we are still smiling as Arsenal have saved us a small fortune. We may have numb bums, but we are still happy,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Champions’ League Odds:

Outright: 11/4 Real Madrid; 11/4 Barcelona; 4/1 Chelsea; 9/1 Man Utd; 12/1 Arsenal; 16/1 Bayern Munich; 20/1 Internazionale; 20/1 AC Milan; 25/1 Tottenham; 50/1 BAR

British Team To Progress The Furthest: 11/8 Chelsea; 21/10 Man Utd; 7/2 Arsenal; 6/1 Tottenham; 33/1 Rangers

Arsene Wenger To Still Be At Arsenal On First Day Of Next Season: 1/10 Yes; 11/2 No

British Teams In Final: 4/5 One; 7/5 None; 11/2 Two

Chelsea Lose Once More As Bolton Cut For Top Four Finish

Chelsea lost for the second game in a row but William Hill believe that the losing streak will not last long, offering 2/5 that they win the next game against Newcastle. The Blues play Man Utd on the 19th December and are 20/1 to not win until that game. Ancelotti is 11/8 to have left Chelsea by the first game of next season.

Manchester United won again today and Hills offer 20/1 that they can emulate the Arsenal ‘invincibles’ and remain undefeated all season. Their victory saw the return of Wayne Rooney who did not manage to get his name on the score sheet once more. Hills make him Even money to end his current drought against Rangers on Wednesday evening and 5/2 that it happens against Blackburn.

Bolton Wanderers have been the surprise package this season and currently sit in fourth spot in the Premier League. They are 25/1 to qualify for the Champion’s League (having been 250/1 at the start of the season) and 7/4 to finish in the Europa League spots (5th to 8th). They are 28/1 to finish in the bottom three.

“The league has started to take on a familiar shape, but with the top four faltering a bit, it could be time for one of the more unfashionable clubs to make their mark,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Premier League Specials:

Bolton Wanderers Finishing Position: 25/1 Top four; 7/4 Fifth to Eighth; 5/4 Ninth to Twelfth; 9/4 Thirteenth to Seventeenth; 28/1 Bottom Three

‘FEELGOOD FACTOR’ KICKS IN AS PUNTERS PILE ON ‘POOL

WILLIAM HILL have cut Liverpool’s odds against Everton from 2/1 to 19/10 as punters bet on the feelgood factor kicking in as they play their first game since the new owners were announced. ‘We’ve only made a slight cut to Liverpool’s odds, but since the takeover was announced we’ve seen an upsurge in support for Liverpool to win the fixture with one punter in a branch in Chester gambling £4000 on them – the biggest bet we’ve seen all season for a Liverpool away win!” said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Merseyside Derbies are usually feisty affairs and William Hill are offering odds of 2/1 that there is a red card shown during the game. Liverpool, who go into Sunday’s game behind Everton and in the relegation zone, are 4/6 to finish the season in a higher league position than their Merseyside rivals. Hills have also cut their odds from 4/1 to 7/2 that Liverpool take all six points from Everton this season, while the blue side of Liverpool is out from 6/1 to 9/1 to take maximum points in the two grudge games. ‘Bragging rights are particularly important to these fans this season and draws are not a lot of good to either side at the moment’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Flynn Fluffs His Lines To Leave The Door Open For Ian To Rush In

Brian Flynn took charge of Wales tonight in the first game of his interim employment and it ended in a 1-0 defeat at home to Bulgaria. This has caused bookmakers William Hill to shorten the odds of Ian Rush becoming the next Wales manager from Evens to 5/6. Brian Flynn is now 11/8 having been 6/5 before Friday’s game.

“Friday was Brian Flynn’s big chance to show that he was the man to turn Wales’ fortunes around. It did not quite happen for him and it has now left the door open for Rushy to take over,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Scotland and Wales both lost 1-0 and this seriously jeopardises their chances of qualification for Euro 2012. Wales are now 25/1 to qualify and Scotland are 5/1 with William Hill. Scotland’s odds of winning the competition overall have now drifted to 250/1 from 200/1 and Wales are 400/1 to win the tournament.

Capello 6/1 To Still Be In Charge After Euro 2012

GERRARD 11/2 TO SKIPPER ALL REMAINING QUALIFIERS

Harry Redknapp is the 11/4 favourite at William Hill to succeed Fabio Capello when he steps down as England manager after the 2012 European Championships. New Liverpool boss, Roy Hodgson is the 10/3 second favourite and Martin O’Neill is just behind him at 4/1. David Beckham has been backed in from 33/1 to 20/1 to take over. The next manager is 1/5 to be English and 10/3 that he is non-English.

Hills offer 11/2 that he goes before the European Championships start and 6/1 Fabio is in charge of England’s first game after the Euros.

Despite claiming that he wishes to enjoy his retirement after the 2012 Championships, Hills are offering 3/1 that he moves back to Italy after the 2012 Euros and manages a Serie A club and 7/2 that he manages a club in Spain. He is 5/1 to not manage before the start of 2014 and 9/2 that he manages a Premier League club.

“Capello appears to have made up his mind to leave after the Euros and we can only hope that he leaves on a high. Should his reputation take another battering in Poland and Ukraine, however, the odds suggest that he may give club management one last shot,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

GERRARD 11/2 TO SKIPPER ALL REMAINING QUALIFIERS

William Hill are offering 11/2 that Stephen Gerrard captains England for all of the remaining European qualifiers. Conversely Rio Ferdinand is 1/7 to captain in any qualifying game.

“Rio is the current England captain but at the moment he faces a fight to get back into the starting XI following an impressive start to qualifying, so Steven Gerrard could yet stay as captain for a while yet,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Fabio Capello Odds:

To Leave Before The Start Of Euro 2012: 11/2

To Still Be England Manager For England’s First Game After Euro 2012: 6/1
