Tipped for world stardom, Brazil’s wonderkid Neymar has been installed as the 11/2 favourite with William Hill to top score at this summer’s Olympic football tournament and his side are 7/4 favourites to win gold.

Spain are 2/1 second favourites and have Atletico Madrid striker, Adrian in their ranks. He is the second favourite at 7/1 to top score this summer. Hulk is 8/1 along with Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani is 9/1. Daniel Sturridge is the highest Team GB player in the betting at 16/1 with Craig Bellamy at 20/1.

“There will be a lot of young talent on show in the men’s football tournament. Neymar, Adrian, Sturridge, Suarez and Cavani are all superb strikers and it could be as tight as the Euros for top scoring supremacy,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.

Andy Carroll’s name has rather surprisingly been linked with a loan move to AC Milan although William Hill do not think that particular move is on the cards, offering 1/12 that he does not make the move to the San Siro (to AC Milan). Spain became double European Champions and all eyes will turn to the World Cup in Brazil. William Hill make Spain 2/7 to win their qualifying group and 6/4 to do so without losing a game.
