United Now 1/6 For Title, Wolves As Good As Down – 5/1 For No More Wins

Manchester City failed to win again although a rousing comeback prevented them from losing, but all the impetus has been handed to Manchester United in the race for the Premier League title. William Hill are now offering 4/1 that City win the title (United are 1/6). It is 3/1 for the title race to be decided by the time the Manchester derby comes around on the 30th April. Roberto Mancini is Even money to no longer to be in charge by the start of next season (8/11 to still be there).

Wolves have been cut adrift at the bottom of the table and William Hill make them 1/20 to be relegated. Terry Connor has failed to win as boss of Wolves and William Hill make him 1/8 to no longer be in charge on the first day of next season (9/2 to still be there as boss). In what would be an embarrassing climb down, Hills offer 12/1 that Mick McCarthy returns to Molineux as manager this season. Wolves are 5/1 to fail to win for the rest of the season.

“In a vital day at both ends of the table, Wolves appear to have condemned themselves to Championship football while Manchester United will now claim to have one hand on the Premier League trophy,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Odds:

Premier League relegation: 1/20 Wolves (8/1 to stay up); 2/5 Wigan (7/4); 2/5 QPR (7/4); 7/4 Blackburn; 11/4 Bolton; 12/1 Aston Villa

Premier League winner: 1/6 Manchester United; 4/1 Manchester City; 250/1 BAR

Premier League without Manchester sides: 1/1 Arsenal; 6/5 Tottenham; 5/1 Chelsea

How many points will Manchester United win the league by: 5/2 7 points or more; 7/2 not to win the league; 7/2 1-3 points; 7/2 4-6 points; 4/1 goal difference

Title to have been decided by 30th April (Manchester Derby): 3/1

Mick McCarthy to return as Wolves boss before end of season – 12/1

Bromley Man Strikes It Lucky For Second Time!

A Kent man in his fifties was celebrating for the second time in less than a year after beating odds of almost 2000/1 to scoop a massive £38,033.24 from his local William Hill shop in Bromley. It was not the first time that this customer has won big in recent times, having had a 12 fold accumulator late last year that paid out £27,000.

This time around the punter, who wishes to remain anonymous, selected 15 sides from various leagues and competitions around Europe in a £20 football accumulator. Among his selections were sides from the Europa and Champions League, the Dutch second division and the Polish Premier League. Despite having a seemingly varied knowledge of football on the continent, Arsenal (8/15 to defeat Newcastle), Chelsea (to defeat Napoli at 4/6) and Manchester City (2/9 to defeat Sporting Lisbon) were all in his coupon.

“Usually I would have said that this was a once in a lifetime bet but this guy has knocked us for six twice in a year, he is the new guru,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

“Other customers are asking us what he is betting on so they can follow him,” said staff in the shop.

Winning Selections:

Udinese to beat AZ Alkmaar 5/6

Chelsea to beat Napoli 4/6

Hannover to beat Standard 8/13

Wrexham to beat Ebbsfleet 8/13

Inter to beat Marseille 10/11

Polonia to beat Jagiellonia 1/2

Trabzonspor to beat Sivasspor 8/11

St Pauli to beat Karlsruhe 1/3

Bastia to beat Lens 11/8

Velez to beat Olimpio Bahia Blanca 4/9

Arsenal to beat Newcastle 8/15

Bayern Munich to beat Basel 1/5

11/10 For Current Bottom Three To Drop…1/1 For No More Managers To Go This Season

Bolton and Blackburn were the two sides at the bottom who benefitted from today’s basement battles and Hills make those two North West sides 8/15 (Bolton) and 4/9 (Blackburn) to stay up. The current bottom three (Wigan, Wolves and QPR) are in increasing amounts of peril and Hills go just 11/10 that Wigan, QPR and Wolves all get relegated at the start of the season. Wigan and Wolves are 2/9 and 3/10 respectively to be relegated.

“Wolves and Wigan have not been playing particularly well over the last few weeks and QPR will certainly be looking at their upcoming fixtures with increasing trepidation,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “As things stand, it is easy to see why they are our big favourites for the drop.”

Chelsea squeaked past 10 man Stoke by the narrowest of margins, but at the same time maintained Roberto Di Matteo’s 100% record. Hills offer 4/1 that they reamain undefeated in the next four fixtures, including a tricky trip to Manchester City and a home tie against Napoli – their next game for which they are 7/2 to be defeated.

Hills are now offering Even money that no other Premier League manager leaves his job before the end of the season. Owen Coyle, Roberto Martinez and Alex McLeish are all 5/1 to be the next to go, while Steve Kean, who was as short as 2/9 at one point in the season is 8/1 to be the next to go.

Premier League Relegation: 2/9 Wigan; 3/10 Wolves; 1/3 QPR; 11/8 Bolton; 13/8 Blackburn; 25/1 Aston Villa; 33/1 Swansea

Premier League Stay Up: 1/300 Swansea; 1/200 Aston Villa; 4/9 Blackburn; 8/15 Bolton; 9/4 QPR; 12/5 Wolves; 3/1 Wigan

To finish bottom: 6/5 Wigan; 2/1 Wolves; 9/4 QPR; 8/1 Bolton; 10/1 Blackburn

When Will Chelsea First Lose Under RDM?
Napoli (H) (UCL) 7/2
Leicester (H) (FAC) 10/1
Man City (A) (PL) 5/4
Tottenham (H) (PL) 4/1
Remain unbeaten in above 4 fixtures 4/1

Must be played in above order or bets void.
