The odds of this month seeing the all time record of 29.4C (1985) had been backed in, all the way from 6/4 to 8/11 by the time that betting ceased at midnight on the 30th September.

Arsene Wenger has made no secret of the fact that his Arsenal side is struggling and William Hill reckon the Gunners will miss out on Champions League football next season. Hills have them at 8/15 to finish 5th or sixth this season while their odds of a top four finish is 9/4. They are 40/1 to win the league and 100/1 to be relegated. Arsene Wenger is 9/4 to have left Arsenal by the end of the season and 8/1 to be the first Premier League manager to leave his job.
Hills offer 13/8 that Arsenal concede over 55 goals this season and are 1/16 to end the season with no silverware.
Arsenals form at the moment is nowhere near the high standards that they have set over the past few years and Nasri and Fabregas appear justified in having left the Gunners in search of silverware, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.
In stark contrast to Arsenals shaky start, United are five for five this season and are 1000/1 to win every single game this season and 10/1 to remain undefeated all season. Wayne Rooney is 13/8 to win the golden boot this season, with Sergio Aguero 11/4.
After the weekends matches, there are now only four unbeaten sides in the Premier League and William Hill make Manchester United the 2/5 favourites of the four to remain undefeated for the greatest number of matches. City are 2/1, while Newcastle are 16/1 and Villa 25/1.
