Terry Odds On To Succeed Rio As England Skipper

Terry odds-on to take armband from Rio:
WILL ENGLAND SKIPPER CANDIDATES SCORE FOR CHELSEA ?

WITH JOHN TERRY now 2/7 with William Hill to succeed Rio Ferdinand as ‘permanent’ England captain and team mate Frank Lampard 5/2 to do so, Hills offer 16/1 that the two will both score (in 90m) against F C Copenhagen in their Champions League match on Wednesday evening. ‘Capello appears to be on the verge of ditching Rio Ferdinand as England skipper, replacing him with a back-in-favour John Terry’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills make Chelsea a virtually unbackable 1/100 to go through against the Danes, who are 16/1 to eliminate Chelsea.
Chelsea are 1/3 to win the game in 90mins with the draw 19/5 and an away win 17/2.

Chelsea Getting Ever Closer…but When Will Torres Score?

Fernando Torres failed to find the net again although William Hill are offering 4/5 that he bags his first Chelsea goal at Stamford Bridge against Copenhagen next week. 7/1 is on offer for him to fail to find the net for the next five matches. Defeat left Blackpool dangling perilously over the relegation trapdoor and thus increased the probability of star man, Charlie Adam, leaving the club. Hills are offering 13/8 that he leaves for Tottenham in the Summer, while 5/2 is on offer for him to join the Kenny Dalglish revolution at Anfield.

“Torres looks more worth 50p than £50 million at the moment, but he is a quality forward but we are expecting him to take us for a small fortune when he does eventually score,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Possibly staring with Copenhagen next week.”

Blackpool are only two points off relegation now and Hills have them as Even money (from 6/5) to be relegated at the end of the season, while Chelsea on the other hand have closed the gap on Manchester United and have been cut from 14/1 to 7/1 to retain their Premier League crown. “Chelsea are well and truly over their slump…write them off at your peril!”

Which Club Will Charlie Adam Be At On First Day Of Next Season: 13/8 Tottenham; 5/2 Liverpool; 5/1 Blackpool; 10/1 Manchester United; 16/1 German Club; 20/1 Spanish Club; 25/1 Italian Club

Fernando Torres First Chelsea Goal: 4/5 Copenhagen; 5/2 Manchester City; 5/1 Stoke; 8/1 Wigan; 12/1 West Brom; 7/1 None of the next five

Manchester City: Champions League…they’re Having A Laugh But Wigan Look Doomed

Manchester City won against Wigan in Saturday’s late kick off and solidified their chances of Champions League football next season. They are offered at 1/3 with William Hill to finish in the top four, with Arsenal at 1/150 and Chelsea 1/8. City’s nearest contenders are Tottenham who are priced at 11/8 to breach the top four. City are also 25/1 to win the league, in from 33/1. Wigan’s woes continue and they are now 1/4 to get relegated, while Wolves and Blackpool are both 11/10 for the drop. Following the continuation of their mini revival under Roy Hodgson, West Brom are 13/8 to get relegated.

Arsenal failed to capitalise on Manchester United’s defeat midweek, by being held to a draw at home by Sunderland and their price to win the Premier League has drifted from 7/4 to 9/4 while, even without playing, Manchester United are back in to 8/15 from 8/13.

“Manchester City did not play particularly well against Wigan, however, they did not look like walking away with anything less than three points,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “As long as they keep winning, the Champions League spot is theirs.”

Manchester United take on Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday and Hills have the away side as marginal 6/4 favourites ahead of Liverpool who offered at 15/8. It could also mark Andy Carroll’s debut for the Reds and Hills are offering 5/1 that he comes off the bench and scores a goal. Games between the pair are often feisty affairs and 2/1 is on offer for any player to be shown red card.

William Hill Odds:

Premier League Outright: 8/15 Manchester United; 9/4 Arsenal; 11/1 Chelsea; 25/1 Manchester City; 150/1 Tottenham Hotspur

Top Four Finish: Manchester United N/A; 1/150 Arsenal; 1/8 Chelsea; 1/3 Manchester City; 11/8 Tottenham Hotspur; 16/1 Liverpool; 50/1 Bolton Wanderers

Relegation: 1/4 Wigan; 11/10 Wolves; 11/10 Blackpool; 6/5 West Ham; 13/8 West Brom; 9/4 Birmingham; 7/2 Blackburn; 12/1 Stoke; 16/1 BAR

Wigan Favourites For Bottom Spot After Wolves Golden Performance

Wolverhampton Wanderers have drifted from 4/5 to 2/1 for relegation with William Hill after they moved out of the relegation zone with victory against Blackpool, while their opponents, are 9/2. Wigan are the 9/4 favourites to finish bottom of the Premier League and 2/5 to get relegated after their defeat to Manchester United, who are 8/15 to win the league ahead of Arsenal at 15/8 and Chelsea at 20/1.

“Manchester United did not play particularly well today, but still managed to stick four past a hapless Wigan and things are looking bleak for them,” said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills have been inundated with punters backing Arsenal to win the Quad. Hills are offering 100/1 that Arsenal bag the Carling Cup, FA Cup, Premier League and The Champions League and could now pay out a six figure sum if Wenger’s men do the business. “Our punters seem to be of the opinion that Arsene Wenger has been saving up all of their trophyless seasons in return for one big one.”
