There’s Only One Kean-go

Bolton Wanderers secured a vital victory which leaves Blackburn rooted to the bottom of the Premier League at Christmas. Traditionally that means they will get relegated and William Hill agree, offering 4/9 that they go down. Bolton are 5/6 with Hills also offering Wigan at 8/15 and Wolves 7/4. Steve Kean is now under immeasurable pressure and Hills make him 1/4 to be the next manager to lose his job while Owen Coyle eased some of the pressure on him and he is 10/3 to be the next to go.

Hills are now offering odds on when Kean will actually depart Blackburn and make him 5/4 to have gone before Boxing Day and 9/1 to leave in the immediate aftermath of the Liverpool game that day (before the 31st). He is 8/13 to still be in charge when Blackburn take on Stoke on the 2nd of January.

“Steve Kean appears to be on borrowed time and there is only so long that the Venkys family can turn a deaf ear of the protestations of the Rovers fans,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills Premier League Relegation: 4/9 Blackburn; 8/15 Wigan; 5/6 Bolton; 7/4 Wolves; 5/2 Swansea; 7/2 QPR; 5/1 Norwich; 6/1 Sunderland; 11/1 BAR

Hills To Stay Up: 13/8 Blackburn; 11/8 Wigan; 5/6 Bolton; 2/5 Wolves; 2/7 Swansea; 1/6 QPR; 1/9 BAR

To go first: 1/4 Kean; 11/4 Coyle

Spurs/chelsea…liverpool Latest…kean-go

The bookies can barely split Spurs and Chelsea as they go head to head in Thursday night’s big Premier League match, with the home side slight favourites at 6/4. Chelsea are 17/10 with the draw 12/5.

Last week against Manchester City, Frank Lampard came off the bench to bag the winner and Hills are offering 4/1 that any substitute scores a goal. Both Adebayor and Drogba are in fine form at the moment and Hills offer 5/2 that Adebayor scores more than Drogba, while the same price is available for Drogba to outscore his Tottenham counterpart. Both sides have settled into a relatively rich vein of form and Hills go 11/8 about the pair finishing in the top four.

Match Betting: 6/4 Tottenham; 17/10 Chelsea; 12/5 Draw

Adebayor/Drogba Match Bet: 5/2 Adebayor; 5/2 Drogba; 4/5 Tie

Any substitute to score a goal: 4/1

YOU BET SUAREZ ABSENCE TO CARROLL’S BENEFIT

William Hill have pushed Liverpool out to 80/1 from 66/1 to win the title following Luis Suarez’s lengthy ban. They are 5/1 to win the league without the presence of the Manchester sides and 6/4 to finish in the top four. While the lengthening odds suggest that Liverpool may well miss Suarez up front, one man who is sure to benefit is Andy Carroll with Hills shortening his odds of outscoring former Liverpool striker, Fernando Torres, from 11/10 to 4/6.

“Liverpool will certainly miss Suarez’s trickery and more importantly his goals, but we think that Andy Carroll will step up to the plate and bag some goals in the Uruguayan’s absence,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Carroll/Torres Match Bet: 4/6 Carroll; 11/10 Torres

STEVE KEAN LATEST

Steve Kean’s tenure at Blackburn looks perilous and he is 5/4 to be out of a job before his side take on Liverpool on Boxing Day. Steve Kean is 1/4 to be the next manager to lose his job – with Owen Coyle drifting out to 10/3.

2nd Premier League Manager to Leave: 1/4 Steve Kean; 10/3 Owen Coyle; 7/1 Mick McCarthy; 8/1 Andre Villas-Boas; 8/1 Alex McLeish; 16/1 Roberto Martinez; 16/1 Martin Jol; 25/1 Harry Redknapp; 25/1 David Moyes; 25/1 Roy Hodgson; 33/1 BAR

Which Manager Will go first: 1/4 Steve Kean; 11/4 Owen Coyle

Coyle/Kean Gone By New Year: 8/13 None; 6/5 one; 20/1 both

When will Steve Kean leave Blackburn:
8/13 Still in charge after Stoke (02/01/12)
5/4 Before Liverpool (26/12/11)
9/1 After Liverpool (26/12/11) before Manchester United (31/12/11)
12/1 After Manchester United (31/12/11) before Stoke (02/01/12)

WITH Mark Hughes being linked with a return to the PremIer League, William Hill offer 7/1 that he will become permanent boss of another top flight club before the end of this season. ‘Mark’s name is invariably prominent in lists of potential successors whenever a Premier League manager leaves his club’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WITH Jack Rodwell being tipped for a move away from Everton in the January transfer window, William Hill offer Even money that e will quit the club and 8/11 that he will remain where he is. ‘Everton’s season has been disappointing so far and the departure of Jack Rodwell would suggest that they have given up hopes of a European place next season’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Mane-chester United? 33-1 For Rooney Horse To Win At Royal Ascot

With Wayne Rooney becoming the latest, and most high-profile, footballer to venture into the world of horse racing ownership, bookmakers William Hill have priced up a variety of special bets on his first equine purchase.

Trained by Tom Dascombe, Hills quote the horse at 33-1 to win at Royal Ascot 2012 following the success of Michael Owen’s Brown Panther, also trained by Dascombe, last year.

With Chester racecourse a well-known footballer and WAG haunt, the firm have priced the horse at 12-1 to score at the Cheshire venue’s feature meeting in May 2012.

Hills offer 200-1 for Rooney to follow in the footsteps of former England player Mick Channon and take up a horse racing trainers’ licence by the end of 2020.

William Hill spokeswoman Lucy Rhodes said “Wayne Rooney is the most high-profile footballer yet to join the league of equine ownership and the horse must be pretty special to tempt him into this new venture. Who knows, this could be the start of a new retirement fund, or even a new profession, for the footballing star”

First Wayne Rooney-owned horse to win at Royal Ascot 2012: 33-1

First Wayne Rooney-owned horse to win at Chester May meeting 2012: 12-1

Rooney To take up a horse racing trainers’ licence by the end of 2020: 200-1

Kai Rooney to win a race under rules by 2030: 100-1

The horse to win at Royal Ascot 2013 and England to win the World Cup in 2014 with Rooney on the pitch: 1000-1

Kai Rooney to play for England by 2030 and the horse to win at Royal Ascot 2013: 1000-1

The horse to have a hair transplant during its lifetime: 1000-1

Punters And Villas-boas Back Torres To Stay

William Hill punters seem to agree with Andre Villas-Boas’ claims that Fernando Torres will be staying put for the time being, with considerable bets having been staked on him still being at Chelsea on the 1st February. Initially offered at 4/11, the weight of money coupled with Villas-Boas’ strong stance on Torres’ future, has seen this price slashed to 1/5. The majority of the money has come from Northern Ireland and Oxfordshire.

“Torres has endured a difficult first year at Chelsea but it appears that punters’ support matches that of his manager and it seems he will be given time to turn things around,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Malaga are 7/1 to be the club that Torres lines up for after the transfer window closes on and Manchester United are 9/1.

Where will Fernando Torres be on the 1st February 2012: 1/5 Chelsea; 7/1 Malaga; 9/1 Manchester United; 10/1 Atletico Madrid; 11/1 AC Milan; 14/1 PSG; 14/1 Inter Milan; 14/1 Manchester City; 16/1 Barcelona; 16/1 Liverpool; 16/1 Juventus; 20/1 Real Madrid; 25/1 Arsenal
