Charles N’zogbia: You Bet A Good Bit Of Business By Villa

Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Charles N’Zogbia from Wigan and William Hill think he will have a better season than the player he was brought in to replace, Stewart Downing. Hills go 8/11 that N’Zogbia starts more Premier League games than Downing, while Downing is 11/8 to start more than the Frenchman.

Hills also go 4/7 about N’Zogbia scoring more goals than Downing, who is 8/5.

“If reports are to be believed, Villa have made a profit of around £10 million by selling Downing and bringing in N’Zogbia and it appears that the new Clarets wide man may well be utilised more this season than the man that he has replaced,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills are offering a number of next club specials on some of the higher profile players being talked about in this summer’s transfer window. Real Madrid are the 4/6 favourites to be the next club to capture Neymar’s signature, while Arsenal are 1/3 to be Juan Mata’s next club. There has been plenty of speculation recently about Carlos Tevez and Hills offer 13/8 that Internazionale are his next club, while Juventus are 7/2.

Lampard Set To Go Head To Head With Wilshere As Leicester Not Too Foxy For Becks

There are many reports suggesting that Frank Lampard’s England career may be over due to the emergence of Jack Wilshere but William Hill think that he still has a role to play, offering 7/4 that he starts more competitive England games this season than the Arsenal ace. Hills go 6/4 about Wilshere starting more and 7/4 that they start the exact same amount of games.

“There are many people saying that Lampard may have lost his position to Wilshere but we think that there is still life in the old dog yet and he will give the young buck a good run for his money this season,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Sven Goran-Eriksson has stated his desire to take David Beckham to Leicester in January, although Hills think that an appearance for the Foxes is unlikely, offering 8/1 that he plays a league game in a Leicester shirt this season.

Lampard/Wilshere Match Bet (who will start most Competitive England games between now and Euro 2012): 7/4 Lampard; 7/4 Tie; 6/4 Wilshere

Balotelli 4/1 To Be Suspended This Season-City Odds On For Top Two!
Mario Balotelli’s behavior continues to astound and Hills are offering 4/1 that his club suspend him at any point this year. He is 7/4 to start twelve or fewer games for the club, 5/4 to score six or less goals and 11/4 to be shown two or more red cards. Despite Balotelli’s antics, punters are piling in on Manchester City becoming the new power house of the Premiership and they are 8/13 to finish the season in either first or second place. Arsenal, on the other hand, continue to be friendless and they are 11/8 to finish between 5th and 10th.

“Nobody is disputing Balotelli’s talent but he comes with a fair amount of baggage and it would be no great surprise if City gave up on their man. That said, his antics are not putting off punters lumping on City to finish in the top two this season!” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
