Chelsea 7/2 To Give Barca The Blues – Di Matteo 2/1 To Get Stamford Bridge Gig

Chelsea made it through to the Champions League semi final and William Hill make them 8/1 to win the tournament. The bad news for all Blues fans is that they have to face defending champions, Barcelona, in the semis and Hills are offering 7/4 that they manage just one goal over the two legs with ‘star’ striker Fernando Torres 2/7 to fail to find the net against the Catalan giants. Roberto Di Matteo has only tasted defeat once as Chelsea boss and he is 2/1 to get the manager’s position on a permanent basis.

Hills make Chelsea 7/2 to qualify for the final with Barcelona 1/6, while in the other semi final, Real Madrid are 1/2 to qualify for the final (Bayern are 6/4). The game that most neutrals would love to see is the Madrid/Barcelona final and Hills make that outcome 3/4 to happen.

“Barcelona have been favourites all the way through this year’s Champions League and we do not think our punters will desert the Catalans now ,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Frank Lampard scored the decisive second goal across the tie and Hills make him 6/4 to start England’s first Euro 2012 match.

Mancini Magic Lost Its Shine – Evens To Have Left By Next Season

Reports have today suggested that Manchester City’s recent downturn in form could result in the loss of Roberto Mancini’s job. William Hill make the Italian Even money to have departed City by the start of next season (8/11 to still be there). Even more humiliating for City, will be the fact that the race could well be over by the time the two sides face each other at the Etihad on the 30th April. Hills offer 11/10 that is the case (4/6 it is not). Hills offer just Even money now for Manchester United to win the league by seven or more points.

Fernando Torres has shown recent good form and William Hill think his torrid time at Chelsea may be coming to an end. He is 4/6 to go to the Euros and just 1/4 to still be at Chelsea next season.

King Kenny’s Crown Slipping While Di Matteo Impresses At Chelsea

WILLIAM HILL have slashed their odds about Kenny Dalglish ceasing to be Liverpool manager by the start of next season from 5/2 to Even money after their latest Premier League setback – and Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is 5/6 NOT to score another Premier League goal this season, and 5/2 to have left the club before next season. Crouch 6/4 For Goal Of Season As Pards 9/1 Boss Of Year

WILL CROUCH STOOP TO CONQUER IN GOAL OF SEASON AWARD?

PETER CROUCH’S stunning strike against Manchester City is a 6/4 chance with William Hill to win Match of the Day’s Goal of the Season award. ‘We think it will take something special to stop Crouch lifting the Award, but there are plenty of games still to be played, and we’re also offering 1/ 2 that someone beats him’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

PARDS 9/1 FOR BOSS OF YEAR

ALAN PARDEW is 9/1 with William Hill to be voted LMA Manager of the Year this season. Hills make Brendan Rodgers 3/1 favourite and also offer 5/1 Fergie; 6/1 Lambert; 7/1 Moyes; 9/1 Mancini; Pardew; 12/1 Redknapp. Others on request. ‘Several managers have been outstanding so far this season and we could see one of the less feted bosses taking the honour’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

HILLS NOW MAKE NEWCASTLE 4/9 TO FINISH ABOVE LIVERPOOL.
Who will finish higher in the PL 2011/12? Liverpool 13/8Newcastle 4/9

T4 Finish – 1/12 Arsenal; 1/6 Spurs; 2/1 Chelsea; 16/1 Newcastle; 40/1 Liverpool.

Chelsea finished their draw against Spurs with both Torres and Drogba on the pitch. William Hill are offering 1/2 that Drogba scores more Premier League goals than Fernando Torres between now and the end of the season (6/4 vice versa). Drogba’s long term future at Chelsea is in doubt and he is 5/6 to be there on the first day of next season, the same price to have left by then. Despite his poor recent form, Hills offer 4/11 that Torres is still at Chelsea come the first day of next season -2/1 that he has left.

Robert Mancini is now 2/5 still to be in charge at Manchester City on the first day of next season, 7/4 not to. Another under pressure manager, following defeat by struggling Wigan is Kenny Dalglish – now down to 5/2 to suffer that fate.
Temporary boss, Di Matteo has only been defeated once since taking over at Chelsea and is 11/4 to become permanent. Jose Mourinho is the 9/4 favourite with Pep Guardiola at 7/2.

Chelsea are now 10/1 to overhaul 4/7 favourites, Arsenal, and 6/4 Spurs in the battle to be top London club, while they are 15/8 to make the top four.

Wigan’s shock win shook up the relegation odds. Wolves are 8/11 from Evens to finish bottom, and can be backed at 4/1 to survive. Wigan and QPR are both 1/ 4 to be relegated and 11/4 to survive with Bolton 11/8 and 8/15, Blackburn 9/4 and 1/ 3.

Di Matteo 11/4 For Permanent Gig…drogba 1/2 To Be More Prolific Than Torres

Chelsea arguably had the better of their game against Spurs, although they could not find a way through, despite finishing the match with both Torres and Drogba on the pitch. William Hill are offering 1/2 that Drogba scores more Premier League goals than Fernando Torres between now and the end of the season (6/4 vice versa).

Drogba’s future is uncertain with offers for his services coming from around the globe and William Hill agree, making him 5/6 to be at Chelsea on the first day of next season and the same price for him to have left by that time. Tevez 7/2 To Make Scoring Return From The Bench…

Carlos Tevez could make an astonishing comeback for Manchester City against Chelsea on Wednesday and William Hill are offering 7/2 that he comes off the bench and grabs himself a goal. Tevez is 5/4 to score anytime during the game and 5/1 to score the first goal of the game. Hills think that should he make a comeback for City this season he will more than likely be firing blanks, offering 11/10 that he scores no goals for the rest of the season.

On the other side on Wednesday will be Fernando Torres who grabbed a brace on Sunday and William Hill are offering Even money that he fails to score for at least two hours from the time of his last goal on Sunday (currently stands at 5 minutes).

Roberto Di Matteo has been cut from 8/1 to 5/1 third favourite to become the next Chelsea boss after his side’s valiant comeback against Napoli. Fernando Torres failed to find the net again (in the 90 minutes of the game) but William Hill make him 8/13 to finally break his 2012 duck, although he is 6/5 to fail to score during the next four games.

“Torres missed an open goal during extra time and his confidence will have plummeted even further,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Saying that, Leicester this weekend offer the perfect opportunity for him to get back on track.”

ROBERTO DI MATTEO was 8/1 with William Hill to to be appointed Chelsea’s permanent manager prior to kick-off of their Champions League game against Napoli on Wednesday evening. After the game he was cut to 5/1 as punters clamoured to back him, and now he is down to 5/2 second favourite with Hills, a fraction behind 9/4 favourite Jose Mourinho. ‘One swallow doesn;t make a summer, and one Champions League victory doesn’t make a trophy, but Chelsea fans appear to believe Di Matteo may well be the man charged with bringing the good times back to the Bridge’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.Hills now make Chelsea 11/8 to manage a top 4 finish in the Premier League – and 25/1 to turn potential disaster into triumph by winning both the FA Cup and Champions League. However, they are also 2/7 to end the season empty-handed.
HILLS HAVE OPENED A BOOK on how many goals Torres will score from now until the end of the season – and make 0-3 their 4/5 favourite. ‘Even fans of rival clubs seem to want to see Torres come out of his goal drought now, but everyone is speculating on whether he will score again this season’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

26 Hours Without A Goal: How Long Before Torres Bags Again?

5/1 TITLE IS DECIDED BY GOAL DIFFERENCE

Fernando Torres finally scored after 26 hours for Chelsea at the weekend and William Hill are offering odds on how long it will be until he nets again. He is Even money to fail to score within two hours of play, although he is 7/2 to score within the next hour. Torres could well go on a scoring run now and Hills make him 8/11 to outscore Andy Carroll between now and the end of the season and he is 2/9 to outscore Carlos Tevez in the same time frame.

Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that his side’s 5-0 win against Wolves was vital due to the fact that he thinks that the title may be decided by goal difference. William Hill are offering 5/1 that he is correct and that the title is settled one way or the other by goal difference.

“This title run-in could be one of the closest ever and odds of 5/1 suggest that goal difference may be the deciding factor,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Despite Sunderland’s recent good form, William Hill think they have left their charge up the table too late and make Newcastle 1/10 to win bragging rights in the North East by finishing higher than their rivals (Sunderland are 11/2 to do so). They are 8/15 to finish in the top half of the table, something that would have seemed preposterous when Martin O’Neill took over the club (they are 11/8 to finish in the bottom half of the league). Blackburn have shown recent signs of improvement and they are out to 2/1 to be relegated (4/11 to stay up).

Mick McCarthy to be reinstated as Wolves manager this season 8/1. ‘Although they only had ten players for much of the game Wolves capitulated against United and TC’s record suggests he is a man who would rather be doing the job he used to do alongside Mick McCarthy. We think it is unlikely but not impossible that Mick could come back to inspire a bid to avoid relegation,’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. Wolves are currently 1/6 to relegated with Hills, 7/2 to stay up, but 6/5 favourites to finish bottom.

How long until Torres’ next goal: 7/2 0-60 minutes; 5/2 61-120 minutes; 5/1 121-180 minutes; 1/1 180 minutes or more

Who will score more EPL goals between now until the end of the season:
2/9 Torres; 3/1 Tevez
8/11 Torres; 1/1 Carroll

Who will finish higher in the league: 1/10 Newcastle; 11/2 Sunderland

Sunderland finishing position: 8/15 top half; 11/8 bottom half

5/1 Premier League title to be won on goal difference

Premier League relegation: 1/6 Wolves; 1/4 Wigan; 2/5 QPR; 5/4 Bolton; 2/1 Blackburn; 33/1 BAR

Premier League to stay up: 4/11 Blackburn; 4/7 Bolton; 7/4 QPR; 11/4 Wigan; 7/2 Wolves

To finish bottom: 6/5 Wolves; 15/8 Wigan; 5/2 QPR; 9/1 Bolton; 14/1 Blackburn
