Arsenal Will Gir-roud The Day They Sold Rvp

Robin van Persie looks set to sign for Manchester United and William Hill make him 8/11 to score more Premier League goals than Wayne Rooney and he is 5/6 to score 22 or more goals. Van Persie won last season’s PFA player of the year award and he is 7/2 to pick up the award again this season. The loss of van Persie could have an adverse effect on Arsenal and they are odds on, at 8/15 to finish lower than the third place they finished last season while Manchester United are 5/6 to score more than the 89 goals that they scored last term.

Van Persie is 8/1 to score four or more Premier League goals against his former club this season while he is 11/10 to outscore both Giroud and Podolski put together.

“It looks as though van Persie will hit the ground running for Manchester United and he could possibly reach a similar goals tally to what he approached last season while at the other end of the spectrum, without his goals, Arsenal’s grip on third spot may slip,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

There are a couple of names who could be elbowed out of Old Trafford following RVP’s arrival and Javier Hernandez is 7/2 to move to Arsenal from Manchester United and 9/2 to move to Spurs. Real Madrid have often been linked with the striker and he is 10/1 to move to the Bernabeu from Old Trafford. Dimitar Berbatov could also be on his way and Hills make QPR the 4/1 favourites to secure his signature upon him leaving Old Trafford.

Robin van Persie vs Rooney goals match bet: 8/11 van Persie; 1/1 Rooney

Total goals scored by van Persie in Premier League: 5/6 22 or more; 5/6 21 or fewer

WILLIAM HILL are offering 11/10 that Rio Ferdinand will be left out of Manchester United’s starting line up for the Premier League game against Everton this weekend. ‘There may well be one or two casualties from the City mauling, and Rio could be the highest profile absentee’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. He is, though, 4/6 to start the game.

***************************************WILLIAM HILL WEEKEND PREMIER LEAGUE SPECIALS*******************

SPURS DOMINATE PFA BETTING

WILLIAM HILL have installed Gareth Bale as 9/4 favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year Award, and his team-mate Van der Vaart is 5/1 second favourite. ‘Spurs seem to hold a strong hand for the PFA this year with both Bale and Van der Vaart having been very impressive’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills also offer: 6/1 Tevez; 13/2 Nasri; 11/1 Berbatov; 12/1 Fabregas; Drogba; 14/1 Nani; 16/1 Carroll; Scholes; Vidic; 20/1 Adam.

WILL CHARLIE STILL BE BLACKPOOL’S DARLING BY FEBRUARY?
WILLIAM HILL make Blackpool’s Charlie Adam an odds-on shot to leave the club during the January transfer window – quoting him at 8/11 to go and Evens still to be a Tangerine when the window closes. ‘Ian Holloway is talking up his chances of holding on to Charlie Adam, but the vultures may be circling over Bloomfield Road’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

CITY 5/1 TO BE FIRST TEAM TO BEAT UNITED
WILLIAM HILL, who make Manchester United 11/1 to remain undefeate all season in the Premier League, make Chelsea 10/3 favourites to be the first club to loower their colours this season, with neighbours Manchester City 5/1 second favourites. ‘The majority of football pundits keep insisting that United are not good enough to remain undefeated all season, and they just carry on remaining undefeated’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

MEANWHILE, HILLS HAVE CUT THEIR ODDS ABOUT UNITED REMAINING UNBEATEN ALL SEASON – BUT STILL FAILING TO WIN THE LEAGUE TITLE FROM 100/1 TO 50/1. ‘A few punters stepped in for the 100/1 and it is far from an impossible scenario’ said Sharpe.

WILLIAM HILL are offering 20/1 that Tony Pulis and Mark Hughes will come to blows at any stage of this weekend’s Fulham v Stoke match after bad feeling grew up between them during the past two games before the sides. And Hills are offering 2/1 that the pair will not shake hands after the final whistle (must be shown on tv) of the game, and 4/11 that they will. ‘The Hughes-Pulis affair is beginning to turn into a long-running feud to rival Bridge versus Terry – but maybe they will bury the hatchet this weekend – hopefully not in each other!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
**Stoke’s loan signing John Carew is 2/1 to score on his debut (if he starts) and 7/1 to score the first goal of the game.
