TEVEZ BACKED TO RETURN TO CITY FIRST TEAM
WILLIAM HILL have slashed their odds for Carlos Tevez to play for Manchester City in either the Premier League or Europa League before the end of this season from 5/4 to 4/7 after a flurry of bets. Mancini appears to be softening his previous hard-line stance on Tevez and punters are taking that as a signal that hell be back in the side if he can prove his fitness, and betting accordingly said Hills spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills now offer 5/4 that Tevez will NOT play in another first team game this season.

LEEDS PUNTERS LUMP ON EX BLADE FOR TOP JOB
Neil Warnock has been the subject of a large gamble in Leeds to get the citys top football job. Vacant since Simon Grayson departed, Warnock had been as big as 9/2 when Lee Clark left Huddersfield and became favourite for the job, but having been well supported today, in and around Leeds, both online and in shops. Bets of up to £500 were being placed all day on Friday on Warnock getting the job.
The Ex QPR and Sheffield Utd boss is now 1/3 firm favourite to take the Elland Road hotseat ahead of Lee Clark at 11/2, Billy Davies and Mick McCarthy at 8/1 and Steve Bruce at 9/1.

William Hill punters seem to agree with Andre Villas-Boas claims that Fernando Torres will be staying put for the time being, with considerable bets having been staked on him still being at Chelsea on the 1st February. Initially offered at 4/11, the weight of money coupled with Villas-Boas strong stance on Torres future, has seen this price slashed to 1/5. The majority of the money has come from Northern Ireland and Oxfordshire.
Torres has endured a difficult first year at Chelsea but it appears that punters support matches that of his manager and it seems he will be given time to turn things around, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.
Malaga are 7/1 to be the club that Torres lines up for after the transfer window closes on and Manchester United are 9/1.
