You Bet New Scholes Set For Starting Role At Old Trafford

Manchester United have competed the signing of highly rated Japanese international, Shinji Kagawa and William Hill think that he will go straight into the first team, offering 9/4 that he makes between 16 and 20 with the same price for him to start 11-15 games. He is 11/2 to make 26 or more starts. Lastseason Kagawa scored 16 goals in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund and Hills think that his goalscoring form could continue, offering 5/2 that he scores between eight and 11 Premier League goals and 11/4 that he bags between 12 and 15.

“Kagawa is an incredibly bright prospect for Manchester United and very much a long term replacement for Scholes in that he can boss the midfield and chip in with the occasional goal as well,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Kagawa Prices:

How many starts will Shinji Kagawa Make In 2012/13 Season: 3/1 under 10; 9/4 11-15; 9/4 16-20; 3/1 21-25; 11/2 26 or over

How any goals will Shinji Kagawa Score in 2012/13 Season: 11/4 under four; 5/2 4-7; 5/2 8-11; 11/4 12-15; 5/1 16 or over

Swansea Gunning For Bergkamp…20/1 In To Evens For Job

Dennis Bergkamp has emerged today as the frontrunner for the Swansea manager’s job with William Hill seeing him backed in from 20/1 to Evens. Former favourite, Graeme Jones has drifted from 1/6 (on Friday) to 4/1 joint second favourite with Michael Laudrup.

“Bergkamp has come from nowhere to become our favourite but it has to be said that his Arsenal ethos would suit Swansea well ,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “We actually suspended betting on Saturday and Sunday because we thought that Jones had got the job, but it looks like we are back to square one.”

Next Permanent Swansea manager: 1/1 Dennis Bergkamp; 4/1 Graeme Jones; 4/1 Michael Laudrup; 6/1 Ian Holloway; 7/1 Gus Poyet; 8/1 Marcel Desailly; 16/1 BAR

Kelly To Replace Cahill…but He Will Not Replace Him In Starting Xi

Gary Cahill has been withdrawn from the England squad to add to Roy Hodgson’s woes and his replacement, Martin Kelly, is 1/3 with William Hill to see no action during the Three Lions three group games (9/4 to make any kind of appearance vs France, Ukraine or Sweden). Cahill’s injury means that a maximum of 10 of Saturday’s XI vs Belgium will be able to start against France and Hills offer 7/1 that all ten of those take their places next week. The most likely, however, is eight of the players to start at 8/11 with nine at Even money.

“Cahill will be a big loss considering the fact that it looked like he was going to be starting alongside Terry and now it looks like Lescott will have to step up to the plate,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

How any of England’s starting XI vs Belgium will start against France: 25/1 seven or fewer; 8/11 eight; 1/1 nine; 7/1 ten

Martin Kelly to make any kind of appearance during England’s group stages: 9/4 yes; 1/3 no

You Bet Giggs And Beckham Will Be Rolling Back The Years This Summer

Craig Bellamy has let slip that he is reportedly one of the over 23 players who is being included in Stuart Pearce’s Team GB side. William Hill are now speculating who the others will be, making David Beckham and Ryan Giggs the two favourites. Beckham, who was so instrumental in getting the Games to London, is 1/6 to be included in the 18 man squad while Giggs is 4/7. Other names believed to be under consideration are Joe Cole (9/4), Steven Fletcher (6/1) and Chris Brunt (4/1).

“With a combined age of 75, it will take an Olympian effort for Giggs and Beckham to play every minute of every game in London this summer,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “But you don’t win gold medals with just effort and there is no doubting that the pair could well make the difference in London.”

Craig Bellamy is 100/1 to win this year’s Sports Personality of the Year.

To be in the GB Olympic squad:

Beckham: 1/6 yes; 7/2 no
Giggs: 4/7 yes; 5/4 no
Joe Cole: 9/4 yes; 1/3 no
Fletcher: 6/1 yes; 1/12 no

Roy’s Boys Are On Their ‘way…9/1 For Tournament

Ashley Young scored the only goal to secure a victory for Roy Hodgson in his first game in charge of England and William Hill make him 66/1 to be the leading scorer in this year’s Euros. The Man United midfielder is also 13/2 (from 8/1) to be England’s leading scorer in the tournament. England were very regimented under Hodgson and defended well after taking the lead and Hills make them 9/1 to win two or three of their group games by one goal to nil.

“Tonight represented England’s first win in Norway since 1966, could that be an omen?” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “A much more solid looking England team can be backed at 9/1 to win the tournament.”

The line up against Norway was very experimental and Hills offer Even money that three or fewer of the starting XI start against France.

After Andy Carroll lead the line well against Norway, he is 8/15 to start against France with Defoe 4/1 and Welbeck 13/8.

Bad Boy Barton Backed For No Reprieve…

Bad Boy Barton Backed For No Reprieve…

Joey Barton, today received a 12 match ban for his shenanigans at the end of last season and bookmakers William Hill are betting on what the outcome will be at the culmination of the inevitable appeal that will take place. Barton will undoubtedly feel aggrieved at the extent of his ban and Hills are offering 11/8 that the 12 matches are decreased. It is even money that the ban stays the same and 4/1 that it is increased.

“Barton gives the impression that he has turned over a new leaf,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “It seems as though the FA, however, have taken a dim view as to his antics in the last game of the season and we reckon his ban will remain as it is regardless of appeal.”

“Drogba has been the big-Drog at Chelsea for the last eight years and whoever fills the gap has very big boots to fill and although Torres has struggled since moving to Chelsea, the odds suggest that he will be taking up the reins,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
