Champions’ League: 11/4 ’06 Final Repeated In Last 16

Arsenal won against Partizan with relative ease tonight and William Hill have priced them at 11/1 to win this year’s Champions’ League. Conversely, Chelsea lost for the first time in this year’s competition against Marseille as their poor run of form continued and they have eased from 4/1 to 5/1 . Hills are offering 11/10 that Chelsea’s next victory comes against Tottenham at the weekend and 12/1 that they do not win a game until AFTER they have played Bolton on the 28th December 2010.

Hills are offering 5/1 that two British teams contest the Champions’ League final, while Chelsea are the 11/8 favourites to be the British team to progress the furthest in the competition.

Arsenal finished second in their group, which means that they could come up against Barcelona, the 9/4 favourites to win the competition and Hills are offering 11/4 that the teams that competed the ’06 final face each other in the last 16.

Rooney Costs Bookies A Small Fortune As Brave Rangers Now 20/1 For Europa Glory

Manchester United and Tottenham both secured victory in Europe tonight and in the process secured their places in the last 16 of the Champions’ League. Wayne Rooney scored the only goal of the evening as Manchester United defeated Rangers and bookmakers William Hill have had to pay out a high five figure sum because of it.

“We are not feeling so smug tonight as it would appear that all of the money that we won on Arsenal losing has been paid out to punters who put their faith in Rooney,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Spurs are now priced at 20/1 from 25/1 with William Hill while United are in from 9/1 to 8/1 to win the Champions’ League.

The English sides both managed to improve on Tuesday’s woeful performances by Chelsea and Arsenal, but despite this, Chelsea are the 11/8 favourites to progress furthest out of all of the English teams. United are 15/8 and Spurs are priced as the 11/2 outsiders of the four.

Rangers were unlucky in defeat to Manchester United and have guaranteed themselves third place in the group. Hills have priced them at 20/1 to now go on and win the Europa League.

William Hill Champions’ League Odds:

Outright: 11/4 Barcelona; 11/4 Real Madrid; 4/1 Chelsea; 8/1 Man Utd; 12/1 Arsenal; 16/1 Bayern Munich; 16/1 Inter; 20/1 AC Milan; 20/1 Tottenham; 50/1 BAR

Goals Galore But Ancelotti 7/1 To Go After Zilina Game

Goals Galore But Ancelotti 7/1 To Go After Zilina Game

Chelsea and Arsenal are representing Britain in Tuesday’s Champion’s League ties and William Hill are offering 4/9 that the Blues outscore the Gunners . Arsenal are 16/5 to score more than Chelsea while it is 4/1 to be a tie. Chelsea are playing Zilina, while Arsenal are playing Braga and the pair hit a total of 10 goals in the corresponding fixtures. Arsenal are 33/1 to go one better than the six they hit past the Portuguese and score seven. Chelsea are 11/4 to knock five past Zilina following their 4-1 victory in September.

Arsenal threw away victory against Tottenham on Saturday and Hills are offering 33/1 that they lead at half-time against Braga, but go on to lose the game.

With speculation about Carlo Ancelotti’s future at Chelsea reaching fever pitch on Sunday evening, Hills are quoting 7/1 that the Zilina game is his last in charge.

“When Arsenal and Chelsea play at their best, they can score for fun. The odds suggest that both sides can put a disappointing weekend behind them and get a couple of Champion’s League goals each,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Despite their poor showing recently in the Premier League, Chelsea are the 6/4 favourites to progress the furthest of all the British teams in the Champion’s league, followed by 15/8 Manchester United.

Spanish Giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are 11/4 and 7/2 respectively to win the competition.

William Hill Champion’s League Odds:

Outright: 11/4 Barcelona; 7/1 Real Madrid; 4/1 Chelsea; 8/1 Man Utd; 10/1 Arsenal; 14/1 Inter Milan; 14/1 Bayern Munich; 25/1 Tottenham; 25/1 AC Milan; 33/1 BAR

5/1 All Four English Teams To Reach Champions Lg Quarters

English teams 5/1 for Quarter Final four-timer as:

Arsenal Slip Up, But Chelsea Are Shortest Price All Season For Wembley Triumph

Arsenal lost 2-1 to Shakhtar tonight and William Hill make them 10/3 third favourites to be the British team to progress the furthest in this year’s competition in which Chelsea are the 6/4 favourites. Hills are offering 5/1 that two British teams compete in the final at Wembley. Hills are also offering 5/1 that all four English sides reach at least the quarter finals stage.

Chelsea are 4/1 to win the Champions’ League this year, while Man United and Arsenal are 8/1 and 10/1 respectively to win the competition. Following their very impressive performance on Tuesday, Tottenham are priced at 25/1.

“Arsenal were somewhat lacklustre in defeat in what will have been a real coupon buster of a result but Chelsea’s clinical dispatching of Spartak means that they are now as short as they have been all season to win the Champion’s League,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Champions’ League Odds:

Outright: 11/4 Barcelona; 7/2 Real Madrid; 4/1 Chelsea; 8/1 Man United; 10/1 Arsenal; 14/1 Bayern Munich; 14/1 Inter Milan; 25/1 Tottenham; 25/1 Tottenham; BAR
