You Bet Roberto Will Be Singing The Blues Next Season

Chelsea fantastically drew with Barcelona with ten men and William Hill make the Blues 7/4 to lift the trophy. With John Terry getting sent off and going 2-0 down, the Blues were as long as 20/1 to qualify from the tie. The mastermind behind the victory, Roberto Di Matteo, is in to 10/11 from 7/4 to become the next permanent Chelsea boss.

Chelsea are 7/2 to win both the Champions League and the FA Cup.

“A fantastic turnaround from Chelsea and Di Matteo has been backed in from 7/4 to 10/11 in the space of 15 minutes since Torres scored the equaliser,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Bolton got a vital victory at the bottom of the table and William Hill make them 1/2 to avoid relegation (6/4 to go down). Villa, on the other hand, have been dragged into the relegation dogfight and they are 6/1 to go down.

When will English team win the Champions League: 7/4 2012; 11/2 2013; 7/1 2014; 10/1 2015; 11/1 2016; 7/4 no English CL win before 2017

Lucky Punters Quids In After Weekend Football Feast

Two William Hill punters were over the moon as they both scooped a small fortune on the football this weekend. The two winners from Sidcup and Watford netted £28,333.76 between them from just £13.75.

The Sidcup punter, who regularly bets on the football at the weekend, placed a £10, 12 team accumulator on Saturday morning and was waiting on four results on Sunday to bag him £17,368.63. Leeds, Brighton, Tottenham and Reading duly won to add to wins from Cardiff, Rangers and Manchester United amongst others.

The Watford based punter placed a 25p Lucky 15 (a four selection bet consisting of four singles, six doubles, four trebles and one fourfold) which returned £10,965.13. Rather than selecting sides to win, lose or draw, the gutsy punter predicted four correct scores. The selections were Aston Villa to defeat Norwich 3-2 at 25/1, Arsenal to win against West Brom 3-0, Newcastle recording a 2-1 victory over Everton at 15/2 and a 3-1 win for Spurs over Fulham at 16/1.

“It is incredibly difficult to predict the outcome of a match, let alone the correct score and so to do so four times on one bet is almost unprecedented,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “We have to take our hats off to this punter, who has increased his initial outlay by almost 3000 times.”

WILL THIRTY NINE POINTS BE ENOUGH FOR PREMIER LEAGUE SURVIVAL?

WITH the relegation scrap looking like going right to the end of the season, William Hill have opened a book on how many points the 18th placed side in the table will end the season with – and offer 6/4 that it will be 38 or fewer. ‘Managers in the bottom half of the table are furiously working out how many points they need to be safe – we think 39 should do it’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

W-W-WILL THEY ALL FINISH BOTTOM, INITIALLY?

William Hill offer 11/4 that all three relegated teams this season will begin with a ‘W’, and offer 20/1 that three ‘B’s will go down. ‘Initially, it seemed like a good idea to quote odds about alphabetical relegations!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill have opened a book on which combination of players Fabio will select to start in goal, in midfield and/or up front, and make Green, Heskey and Barry 5/4 all to start. ‘There is so much speculation about what combination of players Fabio will opt for that we are offering punters a selection of trebles who might just all get the nod to start the game, ranging from Green-Heskey-Barry at 5/4 to Hart-Barry-Milner at 33/1’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe:
