WILLIAM HILL have cut their odds for Wayne Rooney to leave Manchester United during the January transfer window from 7/1 to 5/2, and have opened a book on where the England striker will be playing his football on the first day of next season – making him 1/3 still to be with United and 9/2 to have joined deadly rivals Manchester City by then. ‘City would be delighted to be able to team their other former United player Tevez with Rooney – how United fans would feel about that remains to be seen!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘However, we still believe he is likely to stay where he is next season.’
